Thanks alot stupid Youtubers and idiots like them!
Why am I being restricted to one faction!?
I wanted to farm for my graviton lance masterwork and spend the rest of my time on getting my New Monachy ordaments.
That stupid summit was a freaking mistake if you honestly think people like me want this!

You complain about faction rallies not having a point if you can choose all three. >Bungie makes it so you can only pledge to one. >Players demand that they can pledge to all three. That completely defeats the purpose of Faction Rally. That purpose is to choose your desired faction and work so that it wins. There's no point if every player picks all three. Unbelievable.

4 Replieslook this up if you do not believe this. Bungie has had Destiny as a whole on the back burner and out sourced the last dlc. And it shows. D2 has been failuer and a insult to the player base. Know bungie is making a new game that has nothing to with the half assed destiny game. Now we can see why Destiny has no content and a huge mess of a story. With the connection to the china company way more Grredboxes and microtransaction are going to be the center piece as this is exactly what bungie has done with D2. Do Not Buy any DLC or anything ever again as bungie has shown Destiny is at best an after thought to them. Destiny has been guessed by players, Youtubers, and Streamers to be dead and Dying. Well now we know that bungie has no intention to make Destiny any better ever. Its over and done. A failuer from start to end. Check Google/Kotaku.com for yourself.

2 RepliesIts not really such a big deal, bungie said we will still have 3 faction rallies. We now have more than enough time to grind for anything you really want after this one coming up. Dead orbit is hands down going to be the winner on this faction event, anyone who doesn’t pledge dead orbit are going to regret it

2 RepliesAccount bound pledging was the most unimaginative group think proposal for Faction Rallies that became popular amongst a certain vocal segment of the community and I fear this change doesn’t bode well for weapons. Especially since “bring back random weapon rolls” is another popular sentiment similarly expressed by these same people when “random weapon modes” would not only serve the same purpose (and could be expanded to armor) but also mean an expansion and improvement of the lackluster launch mod system; with the addition of a ‘mod recovery’ mechanic. But back to the subject at hand… In the end, account bound pledging as done nothing more than assure that people will just rotate from faction to faction with each rally, finding the most efficient way to level 50, and all while hoping that a rally doesn’t fall on a bad week since we have zero wiggle room.

If you want all the stuff, you have to play for three more months. So with these artificial obstacles essentially time gating you, they can say, "look, less player attrition and better player retention." You think youtubers are to blame? No it's the executives that want to coerce you into playing for three months because it's 10X easier that making content you WANT to play for three months.

5 RepliesIt is to make factions something important. If you can join 1 faction for each character, there is no weight to which one you choose. No matter what you win and get all the prizes. Frankly I am quite glad Bungie made this decision considering the loot problem right now. It is people like you in the community that whine too much about not getting everything in the game for free. There is 3 faction rallies before the next DLC drop, if you pledge to a different faction every rally, you will get all the prizes. Stop bitching and earn your rewards.

I'm confused on where this has to deal with community members in the summit. Most of them have also disagreed with this change. Kill the toxicity in trying to blame steamers and content creators.

7 RepliesWhen I read your post, I hadn't read the TWAB, so I had to go there to verify this to be true. I'm a bit crestfallen. I've always run one faction on each of my characters, each character having their own reason to run his or her faction. This is just another way Bungie mangles story and lore, making this game much more shooter/looter and much less story based with each step. I'm disappointed because when I first heard of their epic ten-year plan for the franchise, I thought there would be ample story to support such an undertaking. Bungie are showing me how wrong I was to wish for such. If factions are to mean something, as Bungie are saying, the studio should give them solid footing instead of simply using them as loot conduits. For factions to be meaningful, our Guardians must be able to build their stories around them. Whatever tenuous stories my guardians had vis a vis factions, they are dashed by this change. I'm not seeing the logic behind this change. I don't see where different characters pledging to different factions was a problem that this was meant to fix.

It seems it has to be magicians working there, offering dlc's nearly on a weekly basis that as last one included a new area, new monster, a SH**LOAD of new armor and guns for -blam!-ing FREE! While all this pathetic developer here is capable to deliver is reskin the -blam!- out of their old content and on top ask you for $10 on an emote. LMFAO^^ Bungle. The Goof troop of the gaming industry.

Love the comments about the choice having weight... lol Sure... keep telling yourselves that. This is just another way to gate normal players and a way to give no lifers and tryhards something to stream.. Warmind.. the DLC that was designed to slow you down as much as possible. Cause it had so little viable content.

17 RepliesSee...decisions like this is going to make me play the game even less. I used to play each faction as a different character. Now...what is the point? I might as well not even do the factions anymore. I don't give a fㅤuck what you clowns tell me "It makes sense to pledge to one faction" or "pick one and be done with it". I WANT TO PLAY MY WAY...not however Bungie deems suitable. I would have Titan as FWC, Hunter as DO, and Warlock as NM. Well...buh-bye faction rallies...Oh and I won't be buying the September expansion so I don't have to deal with anymore shenanigans.
