so i recently watched all of Steven Universe. it was meh, pacing had me pulling my hair out. whatever. anyway, when i learned that the Gems in the show are actually world conquering beings from another galaxy who annihilate whoever stands in their way, i had a question. Who would win? The Hive, or The Gems? here are your parameters: earth does not exist, the traveler is not present, there are also no other outside forces involved. personally, i think the hive would smash them. The gems are powerful, but they are soft from so many millennia of easy expansion. They often underestimate their opponents, especially if they are organic. They take their technology and resources for granted and have no real end goal except to build for their own vanity. The Hive; however, are almost always sharp. they constantly gauge new enemies, trying to learn as much as possible before the actual kill. Oryx rarely underestimates his opponents, he knows that everything in the universe will try to stop him to survive. Oryx never takes his things for granted (except when he fought the awoken and let like, 20 of his ships get vaporized before doing something.) and he has a goal, he wants to lay waste to everything so that the universe can sit in perfect equillibrium. what do you guys think? its 1:00 AM for me and i haven't played destiny in months. my info might be off so feel free to take the poll and explain who would win and why.
