So I just played Gears of War for the first time
It was really cool, dated but cool I was in for a shock with how odd the cover system is but the visuals are awsome and I luuuuuvvvvvveeeee the guns ( lancer is my bae) I really like how hefty and solid everything is. The story is also pretty interesting and I really like how dark it all is. Haven't played multiplayer yet but I'm hyped for it. Any tips?

The shotgun is the main gun in MP, just get used to using it alot and observe how other people use it

Have they fixed the aiming in GoW UE yet? Last time I played it they tried to force a combo of center aim and barrel aim, instead of sticking with center aim like the original.

The mp is a shotgun fest, and is played mostly by extreme hardcore Gears fans. If you've never played it before, I would say prepare to get destroyed over and over again until you finally get the hang of it.

If you want the smoothest and fastest multiplayer get gears 3 If you want the best story or gears 1 feel then gears ultimate and 2 are better Gears 3 is my favorite game of all time

Gears of War 2 was my personal favorite of the series. The Gears books are fantastic, read em all, and I finally got the chance to read on the EU of the comics through the Ultimate edition. I'm stoked for Gears 4 and look forward to the beta to get a swig of the new sauce.

Gears of war 2 is worth playing if you haven't already. Gears of war pvp = somersault shotgun mode.

1 ReplyI thought that the first GoW's storytelling was a bit spotty, but it still ended up being one of my favorite games of all time. The GoW Ultimate Edition helped out with that by adding more cutscenes, but wait until you get to GoW 2 and 3, the story telling in those games is amazing! Also, multiplayer has a really steep learning curve, so expect a lot of frustration in the beginning.

Got it when it 1st came out...quit after 2/3 of the way through....was boring thee entire time imp,kept playing hoping it would get better cause all I heard was good things....got a PS3 as soon as it came out & never looked back...halo was the only thing that kept Xbox around otherwise it would be extinct....don't understand y gears of war was so successful....

2 RepliesOriginal on the 360? Not much mp going on, you can find matches, but most of these are custom games with people who have been playing for years. If it's the remake, gears of war ultimate edition, lots of mp action. But I agree great game. Open beta for gears of war 4 is mid April(18-21?) Check it out. Also gotta get good with the gnasher(shotgun) for mp.

I liked it a lot when it first came out but I could never play it as much as Halo or Cod The Lancers bullet spread and aim is just so atrocious. MP is just a shotgun fest
