Use the same strat as last week. For those who don't know, sprint left immediately and take out the serviter with some expediency as well. We had one of each class on the team and all were using arc 365 snipers. I threw an etheric light on my only arc sniper but luckily it was a Her Benevolence. The other two used 365 LDR with High Calibur rounds.
Back to the strat, pop a weapons of light right before the stair case. I used glasshouse, with bastion and illuminated to give us a fair amount of time with weapons of light. Then just unloaded every shot we could make into his skull then popping a synth when needed. I peeled off and defused the bomb while the other two were able to take him down before the poison timer went out. I believe they used thunderlords when he got close but nevertheless, it's still a challenge. With some luck, you'll be able to take him out quickly as well.
Good luck guardians!
Btw check out my titan on the app. I'm missing PoE boots but I have the set with the PoE shader. He looks like a hidden character on super smash bros with the app not reading the shader XD lol.

11 RepliesEdited by SmokeShadow_27: 5/26/2015 3:37:47 PMYou next genners have NO IDEA how easy you have it. Has anyone on PS3 been able to do the "unload all heavy and then pop a synth, and finish him off" strategy? No joke here: popping a synth on last gen takes 15-30 long, painful seconds of loading. My team would get him down very, very close off of the first 21 Ghorns, but there is simply no time to pop heavy after that. Skolas and captains move in and take you out while the inventory screen is loading. We did beat him once, but couldn't pull it off on our other characters while trying for the second time last night. It ends up becoming "everyone unload their first 7 rockets, and then run around like chickens with our heads cut off while trying desperately to stay alive and hope for a 30 second chance to pop a heavy" (which isn't very often). On PS3, LOADING TIME is the true FINAL BOSS. I'm sure every last gen player can sympathize with this. btw, I'm not mad. I would have already bought a PS4 but all my Destiny friends play on PS3, so it is what it is. But as far as loading times, the struggle is real, my friends. The struggle is so real.

1 ReplyEdited by Mazer WreckEm: 5/26/2015 10:48:08 PMI'm going to get together a team of all P&T and see how that goes

2 RepliesSounds easier than last week. Sounds like as people begin to get 365 guns and light 42 armor, the content will go back to being a complete joke. Sounds like this game will go back to be a monotonous piece of garbage like its been since the release. Hate to be a debby downer but i still dont see the value in the 95 dollars i spent and couldnt get refunded. ...back to playing the amazing witcher 3!

7 RepliesEdited by Adam: 5/26/2015 3:00:20 PMPathetic excuse for a bossfight. Love PoE, but Skolas reeks of the same shit that made Crota's End such a letdown. Every enemy kills you in 3 shots or less (with tracking bullets), you have to stand out in the open to cap points, every enemy out-levels you and the boss you're supposed to be killing has a HUGE health pool. "Lets give the boss a huge pool of health, make him a level higher than the players, and give the infinitely respawning adds the ability to 2 or 3 shot kill. Oh, and let's put some timer in to make them rush too" Is this Bungie's idea of good boss design????? I mean, seriously? VoG was challenging, but fun. The mechanics provided the difficulty. Hence why when you go back now it's still challenging. This just relies on the kind of bullshit that made so many players abandon Crota's End after they'd gotten most of the gear they needed. This boss fight is just not fun at all.... And the funniest thing is that the new weapons are all absolutely TERRIBLE. So wasting any time on this is something that I certainly won't be doing...... I doubt anyone else will in the coming weeks/months either. They did a great job with the DLC, but they -blam!-ed up with this.
