If you have, how do you deal with the ogre? Gally does nothing to him, and I can't seem to stagger him with IB...
EDIT: Thank you all for the responses. Good stuff. I was able to complete it yesterday with your advice. Kudos!
For those clicking on this for the first time, the answer is:
1. Max out all stealth abilities available in the Bladedancer sub class.
2. Save your super for the end, and remember to swing (trigger button) a second time right before your super ends.
3. Avoid being seen by the ogre by remaining invisible, and LOS'ing him. Use the rocks nearby.
4. Patience & Time and Don't Touch Me help greatly with accomplishing this task, though they are not necessary. I was able to complete this without them.
There are more techniques. Read below on how others have accomplished solo'ing the abyss or lamps.
edit: Wow, over 1,000 replies. Oddly, in the first couple of replies, I found my answer. But, somehow this has stayed alive all month. LOL

Edited by LethalLemons_: 2/22/2015 11:35:39 PMMe and 2 friends of mine did it. 2 titans one warlock. Saint 14 helps, but we got through it without it. Titan friend used gally and Black Hammer and popped bubble and waited for bridge to finish. We were all lvl 31

If you time your blink strike, vanish, and crouch you can actually get away with not even killing an ogre.
-
1 ReplyMy friend has multiple times, but when he gets to the end he just can't kill the ogre in time.
-
Who else here soloed the lamps on hard mode when it first came out? :)

Edited by Samphaa: 2/22/2015 8:18:04 PMI do it with a titan and warlock, 5 gjallarhorns and the ogre drops I just run circles around each lamp till the darkness is gone then jump on the rock twice at the end
-
I did it the other night without firing a shot, took me 5 tries but I did it
-
Your supposed to hide..duh
-
Multi tool and stealth perks. Makes it super easy
-
Ignore the ogre. Go blade danced and time your invisibility then hop across the bridge when it forms. It might take a few tries but it's easy
-
5 RepliesDid it the other day, jump from the 2nd lamp from the start, or just go through till the end. If you hit the last lamp before you start the bridge, enemies from the back cliff by the bridge won't spawn. So activate the last lamp, activate the bridge, and jump on a rock. I went invis on the rock when the ogre spawned and then ran behind the rock where the bridge forms. Keep going invisible, use your super to go invisible or continue to crouch. Boom. Run across the bridge no killing necessary. Don't touch me gauntlets are the best for this, and a weapon with an agility boost helps. Also you should have agility maxed until the last lamp, and use the longer invisibility perk. You don't need them but anything that helps will make it easier.

2 RepliesDon't touch me
-
Duo'd it as a 31 Warlock without Gally
-
lol I've done that stage with a 31 warlock vw
-
I think I'm going to try to do this on normal. Level 30 hunter with nearly maxed out bladedancer. Don't have the don't touch me gauntlets though. I'll set the class up to go invisible as much as possible. Should be fun to try. A lot more fun that doing upteen roc strikes in a row.
-
You just got to be invisible
-
Its easy
-
-
Some it several times then just hide from oger
-
Tried it earlier and failed at the 5th lamp everytime lol
-
I just ignore the ogre wait for him to spawn then bladedance invisible until bridge is formed
-
Use black hammer
-
Me,i got arc pulse rifle just to you know
-
3 RepliesSome guy did it with lvl 20. Just gotta be careful to cloak at right times with ogre.
-
Yep its piss easy
-
Me and a friend were both 31 with ice breakers. When the ogre spawned, we blasted him over and over, and he just kept coming. It was like trying to stop a train with BB guns. By the time he got within firing range he wasn't even halfway down. We both threw up our bubbles at the last second. He broke both of them. We jumped off the rock and ran, and we barely made it. Don't fight the ogre. You won't win.
