RNGesus finally blessed me!
So today after being snubbed by the loot system almost every time I run the VoG, today I decided to go through again assuming I'd be able to build up Ascendent Shards and maybe a few Ascendent Energies for weapons and armor in the next DLC.
I went through with my Titan main first this morning, and through the secret route after the Templar, I opened up the chest to be rewarded with HARD LIGHT! I was pretty pumped about getting my first Exotic weapon EVER in the VoG, and I assumed I would never get even a full set of raid armor to begin with. Then after I beat Atheon, I received PLAN C!
After getting two Exotics in one raid, after weeks of Raid Weapons and the very rare bit of Raid Armor, I decided to go in again with my Hunter, and from the chest after the Templar I received Truth!
I don't know what I did to finally make the loot system actually reward me for my effort, but I'm certainly glad I ran the raid! Has anyone else had better luck lately, or gotten rewarded like this after constant snubs?

You get it and it feels so awesome! Then you grind out another 99 ascendant. Hehe VOG only ever gave me 2 gjallarhorns and 2 Fatebringers. Lol I'm ok with it Rest was praedyth 7 times. ok i guess Vision of Confluence. very nice scout 2 capes Break down a Ghorn for a shard?

Edited by Houze968: 1/24/2015 7:45:23 AMRan VoG on hard a couple days ago, got Ghorn off the exotic chest..... then a day or 2 later in hard mode of Crota: got Last Word & No Land Beyond, plus Fang of Ir Yut (scout rifle) and Oversoul Edict (pulse rifle)....all this from one run highly suggest only running hard or only normal, the primaries only drop on hard and if you just run hard your rolls are better b/c you can essentially get both your HM & NM loot at once (you can do normal then hard, but there are some spots you won't get anything at all)

1 ReplyI have ran VoG a lot of times and all I got for my effort was ducking SHARDS, some this I don't need cus I'm lvl 31 and another guy in my fireteam of the vex mytho AND the suros . all I got was a ship and stupid SHARDS!!!!!!

I played some ROC today and I was extremely lucky. I got one legendary engram as a reward three times in a row. On top of that, the last strike, not only did I get a legendary engram, I got my first Hawkmoon AND a legendary ship! I think I probably used up all my luck with that though.

Ran Crota's End. Got second Song of Ir Yut. Ran Weekly, got Primary Legendary Engram, turned out to be Ascendant Shards. Another L.E. was also shards. Did VoG Hard, got Vex Mythoclast, the Raid ship, and the Titan helm. Made my day.

Just grabbed the exotic chest in VoG as my first raid run of the week and got Red Death. Haven't finished that raid yet.

I wish i could get a team together on VOG. I got my first Exotic drop ever in game and that was also HARD LIGHT from Iron Banner Crucible. I have done VOG once and played it 3 times.
