NIGHTFALL REWARDS ARE GARBAGE
The weekly is more rewarding than the Nightfall, it's starting to get annoying. 12 ascendant shards I can't use and two legendary weapons I broke down because I already owned them!
EDIT: let me clarify that ascendant materials are a garbage reward. I'm sure about 80% of us have no use for them and when we get them it's an even bigger let down from RNGesus

Got 2 ascendant energies from the first. Then an exotic helmet on the 2nd and an exotic chest on the 3rd.

Ran it twice this week. First time round, strange coins. Friends got shards and ahamakura skull gauntlet things. Second time round. Legendary heavy machine gun (never gonna use it) friends got strange coins and the other got suros regime. Bag of s*** oh well, weekly to go. Come on Monte carlo!

1 ReplyI got 7 ascendent energies, a crap pulse rifle that I've already gotten before and a legendary engram that turned into 2 ascendent energies last week. This week I got 12 ascendent shards along with crap weapons yet again. Helped a couple of buddies do it and they both got exotics...I'm done

This weeks Nightfall was disappointing for me reward wise but overall I can't say that it sucks. I have gotten the Last Word and the Gally from it.

bump, nightfall's been trash this past month, i remember a time when it'd be almost a guaranteed exotic, not these garbage legendaries i'll never use or trash ascendant materials that are rotting in my vault.

i have 200 ascendant shards. Worthless. And about 105 energies. They are useless. Should be taken off rng table. Nobody beats nightfall and says oh boy! Got some material!

Ever since they made materials legendary (for reason I don't know why), thats all I usually get.

The main reason I do Nightfall is for the XP boost and the reputation you gain at the end. It's a bonus if I get an exotic for completing nightfall but i'm always happy to get a decent legendary weapon. Ascendant Shards and energy are pointless if you are 31. I have a 32 hunter, 32 titan and 31 warlock so I don't need them. Plus I have almost 300 of them in my vault. If you are going to get shards from nightfall can't you at least make it so you receive the Radiant shards instead so at least you can use your reward? I still have yet to see coins drop as a nightfall reward. I see others get around 9-12 coins but I haven't yet had this happen.

14 RepliesDoing the nightfall primarily is for the bonus xp and reputation buff you get throughout the week thats the reward drop that little extra (even if its useless) is a bonus for doing it. If im looking for a nice drop i go do the raid or hope for my dead orbit packages with more shaders.
