Obsidian Mind OR Icebreaker?
So here's the problem:
I REALLY want obsidian mind, and I REALLY want Icebreaker. Trouble is, I only have the funds to buy one of them. Which should I buy? Icebreaker has always been one of those pro exotic weapons. But, ever since I first laid eyes on obsidian mind, it has been the only exotic armour piece that I've wanted. Someone help!
Side note: I already own the Efrideet's spear sniper, which I hear is more damaging than icebreaker, so that may change things.
EDIT 1: thanks for all the suggestions, guys! It seems like icebreaker is the utmost choice to buy, but obsidian mind is also worth getting if I grind enough in time.

I bought obsidian mind because in my opinion the black hammer is just as good

1 ReplyDepends, you usually play alone or are you a team player? Tram player, Obsidian mind can spawn a lot of orbs if used right. If solo, Ice Breaker is probably a better bet

For me, Ice Breaker is my favorite weapon. I do not go into a single raid or strike without it.

I have both, prior to xur. I've never used obsidian mind, ice breaker on the other hand, is awesome. Forget voidwalker, I used to think sun singer was wack just from looking at the upgrade tree, but until you use it for a solid period you don't realise how good it is. You can generate more orbs than voidwalker more often and deal more damage with just your grenades.

Buy IB, Xur will have much better chance to sell obsidian again over IB again.

Never choose armor over weapon. Especially one as good as icebreaker. If it was the last word or patience and time etc something thats not a big deal id say obsidian mind but that helm you can get later in the future

Chances are he'll sell the helm again, it's been 3 months since icebreaker was last sold.

Almost maxed my obsidian mind already and I must say.... IT'S AMAZING. In PvE if you get a good 6+ kills you get like half your super back instantly! Can't wait to PvP this thing. But as awesome as it is, Icebreaker is just too good for most of the endgame content.

Icebreaker. There is no warlock exotic that is worth more than icebreaker.

How close are you to getting both? If another 9 coins would do it, I'd seriously consider deleting your Titan and leveling another warlock. IB is a given, but I get the feeling he won't be selling Obsidian Mind again any time soon.

My problem is I don't want either and have 250 coins that are useless since my inventories are already stacked with heavy ammo.

Def. Icebreaker. I have been wanting it forever.... 3 weeks ago I got it from Nightfall.... The week after another from Nightfall.... Its a game changing gun. The ammo regeneration is amazing and you can use it to regeneration ammo for your other special weapons by switching back to icebreaker when you are empty. I get 12 rounds for patience and time when swapping from my fully loaded icebreaker. I bought obsidian mind for my warlock.... Want to see how it goes with bad juju. I would suggest icebreaker because it's a rare sale and you can use it on all your characters.

Ib your more likely to get obsidian mind from a drop than you are to get ib

Oh damn if you are a VW main this choice is really hard. IB is an excelent weapon, but in strikes with lots of mobs you can bring the pain and let the orbs rain with an OM.
