Obsidian Mind OR Icebreaker?
So here's the problem:
I REALLY want obsidian mind, and I REALLY want Icebreaker. Trouble is, I only have the funds to buy one of them. Which should I buy? Icebreaker has always been one of those pro exotic weapons. But, ever since I first laid eyes on obsidian mind, it has been the only exotic armour piece that I've wanted. Someone help!
Side note: I already own the Efrideet's spear sniper, which I hear is more damaging than icebreaker, so that may change things.
EDIT 1: thanks for all the suggestions, guys! It seems like icebreaker is the utmost choice to buy, but obsidian mind is also worth getting if I grind enough in time.

The mind is what you need. Black hammer is better then icebreaker.

Hmm actually a tough call if you don't have enough coins. I always have enough coins every week to buy everything I want lol I would def say buy Icebreaker, you will regret it. However armor can be just as rare, example he has only sold Helm of Saint-14 once so far and everyone who didn't buy it regretting it. I personally have ice breaker (originally bought from xur) and found two more after, I can't say you will have the same experience as I but Icebreaker is not an end-all weapon, there are a lot of snipers out there that are very useable and don't require an exotic slot. Especially when you consider how common special ammo drops.

1 ReplyIce Breaker for sure. Weapons from Xur are more difficult to acquire opposed to armor. It would be different if Xur sold exotic weapon engrams. Buy the I.B., wait for exotic helm engram and buy them until you get what you want (or RNG gives it to you first).

If Zur stays true to form with Warlocks he may sell Obsidion Mind 7 weeks in a row.. Hes been a little off base here lately but im sure will return to normal.

Funny story... I got the obsidian mind from a purple engram about a week ago, decided to dismantle it since I didn't use void walker. Started using void walker iron banner and I actually like it so I bought one today

I had a similar situation when the IB was sold the first time and I choose the armor over the gun, worst decision ive made in my life to date lol.

I want both too. So I made a new warlock and levelling him up as we speak so I can get him to 20, stick some gear I have in the vault on him, join a heroic and get the last 4 coins I need to get the helm lol. Probably greedy but I've heard good things and have a day off.

2 RepliesHahahahaha! I'm in the same boat, I passed on Icebreaker the last time it was sold and that was a long ass time ago, I have 16 coins right now plus another 9 after the weekly. I think I'm gonna grind IB and Roc strikes to get the last 5 that I need. how many short are you?

Kill your other character and grind for another swap your armor. If you do all bounties and story should take 7-10 hours

There is a lot of great exotic armor and weapons but i feel the two things that are must haves are the Ghorn and the Icebreaker. I already have Ghorn (3 of them) and i always made sure i saved enough coins to be ready for the Icebreaker if i ever had the chance to get it. Needless to say, i bought one for each of my 3 guardians.
