As a female Destiny player I am finding that sexual harassment is a growing issue, especially in the tower. From the first week Destiny came out, I have experienced harassment ranging from receiving messages of a sexual nature (to the point of having to block people to get them to stop) to having groups of characters surround and hump my character (moving does nothing, as they follow me around the tower and continue until I leave the tower).
Obviously Bungie can't control the players. I get that. But when I report the players for sick behavior like this, the most I can report them for is being "unfriendly." Can we get a specific sexual harassment option for times like this?
Edit: Judging by the responses to my post, the harassment is not just in game. I'm getting plenty on here, and I anticipate I'll have plenty of similar messages when I log into the game later. Speaking out has made me more of a target, and I expected that. This is exactly the reason so many women choose not to speak out against this kind of behavior.

Please Bungie implement a new super which will be utilized only by females. The move will be like this: a 360 turn with a chainsaw cutting in slices all d1cks of males. By suffering this, they will also get a debuff of 25% in XP for the whole week.

As a male it disgusts me that other would act this way to a female member of our worldwide community
-
Sadly it's always been like that. Scary thing is that it was worse during Halo 2.
-
Sorry to hear about that but yes majority of the population on this game and forums are ignorant immature fanboys

Bungie gives zero shits. I'm sry to hear this is happening. Shows how immature the community can be at times

3 RepliesThats -blam!-in disgusting behavior. Why waste your time tbaggin somebody?

Agree please add harassment as a category.

You need to remember that a large portion of destiny players are young teenagers who probably have never spoke to a woman before. Just ignore. Sticks and stones.

Edited by Unforgiven: 10/24/2015 7:40:15 AMI have done the teabagging thing in the tower to random people, not even thinking that its a guy or girl. I think you are little bit paranoid considering how often you get harassed, i think that teabagging isn't against bungie rules, and the grest thing about it you can join in and do it tp them

Report on Xbox live
-
Thats abit gross of people

The messages is an Xbox problem. Email Microsoft. Lol as for the T-bagging, I just got gang banged in the tower by 5 strange guardians. It's just fun. That's all.

1 ReplyEdited by Mars3099: 10/24/2015 4:53:02 AMI find it funny how it seems to be easier to get someone banned for a bad connection than it is to get them banned for cheating or harassing

That's not Destiny's problem. It's not specifically harassment there. It's putting yourself out in the open to communication in an online world, where no faces are seen and people don't hold back there words, with no consequence in there actual lives. If you can't handle the harmless, thoughtless acts of others.... Then I suggest making it to where only people on your friends list can message you. As for people teabagging you in the tower.... If in your mind you truly believe it's " sexual harassment " then think of it this way.... somewhere there is a 20 something year old guy with a girl avatar and not so gender specific name, with some 50 year old man teabagging him.... Or you could realistically understand that it's not gender specific, it's just people -blam!-ing around in the tower just kicking the ball around and you happened to be in the general direction they were going. Like oh look a person, hiiiiiiii. Do you see me now? Right here, now I'm over here, now I'm down here. Dance maybe? I wish I had a in tower melee so I could slap this person and get there attention. Damn oh well. On to the next person.... Oh look another ball!

4 RepliesUmmmmmmmmm everybody does that. I do that to guy and girl gamers all the time. You're bored? Let's run around the tower and mess with people. It's just a game.
-
Lol I just realised this post from last year
-
Also I don't -blam!-in care whether you a girl or a guy because I am here to play the game and not harass people Jeez some people are so -blam!-ed in the head and find everything thing funny The only way to punish these people is to directly -blam!- with their game

Edited by iDxpiicable: 10/24/2015 4:48:24 AMReport their PSN/GT?
-
I just feel like it's not bungies issue or destiny issue, it needs to be reported to Xbox. You can go to their gamer tag profile and report them there. Usually stuff in the tower is all for jokes so I would try and not take it so seriously. But if you get messages then yea report those

Grow the -blam!- up, and worry about my BLT. God first the raid primaries and now this? I'm crying.

Edited by Mudsplash: 10/24/2015 3:39:14 AMWhile i agree with you on the messages and hate mail. The tower "humping" is called tbaging and is done to all.

I never see this happen. I feel bad for you, and its probably because I don't go to socials areas unless I am decoding engrams or looking at the vast city at night
