As a female Destiny player I am finding that sexual harassment is a growing issue, especially in the tower. From the first week Destiny came out, I have experienced harassment ranging from receiving messages of a sexual nature (to the point of having to block people to get them to stop) to having groups of characters surround and hump my character (moving does nothing, as they follow me around the tower and continue until I leave the tower).
Obviously Bungie can't control the players. I get that. But when I report the players for sick behavior like this, the most I can report them for is being "unfriendly." Can we get a specific sexual harassment option for times like this?
Edit: Judging by the responses to my post, the harassment is not just in game. I'm getting plenty on here, and I anticipate I'll have plenty of similar messages when I log into the game later. Speaking out has made me more of a target, and I expected that. This is exactly the reason so many women choose not to speak out against this kind of behavior.

People teabag without regard to your gender, race, sexuality or anything else. It's not an attack on you, it's just a thing people do
-
I think I saw you in a post about dumbest reasons for being kicked. Ignore these idiots, you're not complaining about them being jerks in a game, you're complaining about players sending sexual harassing messages! It's different you guys. And maybe you're right
-
9 RepliesIt's just a game... If it hurts your feelings to have people doing that to you in a video game of all things stop playing, lock yourself in your room & never come out.

It's a game

I got four words for this lady It Is A Game! if they are tea bagging you teabag them back and quit complaining about something that has happened to every single player in destiny!

10 RepliesJesus christ I'm not female but this is rediculous. I get the harassment in messages is a problem. But for dryhumping in the tower? I've had that happen to my main titan male. You saying I'm being sexual harassed? Listen, just cause your a female, and someone does something like this in a video game, doesn't mean it's sexual. It's happened to everyone whose played destiny long enough.

1 ReplyThe tower thing is just regular guardian nonsense

Edited by Coldblooded357: 10/24/2015 10:06:04 PMI have a few female friends on destiny who say they experience the same kind of bullshit. Unfortunately there isn't much anyone can do to stop the actions of others but if you're on ps4 and are looking for mature, good hearted people to play with that won't bother you in this way feel free to friend me. We have a clan with around 45 members and what we're about is treating people right, helping people out, and just having a good time playing a game we all love.

Male warlock seeking female hunter I enjoy long walks on the forgotten shore, killing hive majors/Ultras, and using my double hot swap questing beast in iron banner

2 RepliesLadywolf here is a suggestion for next time. Say you're a tranny then deepen your voice. Not only will they leave you alone you can record it and replay their reaction. No disrespect intended to any transgendered guardians but it is a great deterrent.

Would it be weird if I talk like a girl to test this out for my self

Edited by XaveBoy: 10/24/2015 7:40:56 PMThis post has some things that i didnt really understod. First, sexual harassing is wrong, i get that. But do you really think that following and poking your guardian in the tower is harassing? Humping others in tower is just for fun, and if it happens, it happens to everyone, and its not targeted towards female guardians. And how do you get harassing messages? How those players even know that you are female? This post sounds so odd to me. Either way, Bungie could add report button for that.
-
Seriously I've been humped in the tower and chased around this is a little too far unless you've received actual messages with content pertaining to sexual harassment then its not a ban issue Bungie. In fact you should report any messages directly to Sony or Microsoft. My friendly advice is not to be so sensitive to this but if you receive messages then do something about it.

Edited by Leonitus Magnum: 10/24/2015 8:56:46 PMUnless people "know" "you" are female ignore the Teabagging stuff. If its in party/gamechat.... jus keep doing what you have been doing I do the same. Its not a growing issues you are just becoming Irritated. And Destiny is not the only game this shit happens in.

1 Replyhalf of problem solved, deactivate crouching in social areas

People hump my player too and its male but i do understand with the messages thats a problem

A complaint of this nature should be dealt with by the authorities, new cyber criminology departments are now in operation, if you receive any messages that contain threatening or disparaging comments they can be reported continual harrasment from the same individual could be deemed a cyber crime, but my advice is to continue to block and report players to PSN and Microsoft. I'm genuinely perturbed that people would leave such messages on this forum but in no way surprised after all this is the age of the cyber keyboard warrior. In my previous comment I also said that this has happened to me in the tower its harmful fun unless you start to receive actual harassing messages. Now I received a message from a gamer in Destiny who threatened to NOx my account, Bungie you did nothing, instead I reported it to Sony and the Police this individual is now on their radar. So to be fair and honest you are doing all the right things, continue to use Bungie reporting tools and also use your PSN/ Microsoft reporting tools as well. Protect your self by blocking unsavoury gamers its perfectly legitimate way to protect your self.

XD I thought everyone got humped didn't know it was gender specific and I never received messages when I play my female hunter
-
It's t-bagging, and it's not that bad. The messages are from random people who want to make people feel uncomfortable. You are stronger than them.

Harassment is not ok, the dames of destiny have recieved this among others, no matter who you are you shouldnt have to hide because you are scared of being harassed, its not ok.

5 RepliesHow old are you? If social media is conflicting with your sex, race, nationality, religion, etc then get casually and calmly disconnect your Internet. Problem solved. I do believe you're on here trolling and D just bumped up your fake Internet fame. Such a cry baby. How about you take a rope, throw it over a tree branch, tie the ends to a piece of board, and swing! Jesus people act like there isn't a damn thing to do outside of your homes. Lol!

2 RepliesI teabag players all the time. Male/female. I played with many and many female players from all around the world. Not even once they mentioned sexual harassment. It's just a game. You're focusing on the wrong thing here. Enjoy gaming and teabagging. It's what we're made for

2 RepliesWow posted in 2014 and people bumped this. trolls galore.

Edited by BDress: 10/24/2015 3:35:18 PMI walk around the tower and crouching really quick isn't really humping...I do that to everyone because it is funny and it's a video game and everyone literally does this...

Please Bungie implement a new super which will be utilized only by females. The move will be like this: a 360 turn with a chainsaw cutting in slices all d1cks of males. By suffering this, they will also get a debuff of 25% in XP for the whole week.
