Raid pieces are "real" armor. Each set has their own special perk to them. That's the way the game was designed. You still have to work for the Raid pieces as well. You're just looking for things you enjoy/prefer in the wrong game. Coming from a PvE player with a Crucible 2.89 K/D bonus on the side. Not bragging, just figured that you'll take that into account.

I'm not gonna bend over backwards when I see that your countless hours in the crucible allow you to die slightly less often. Your stats have no impact on what I do, or how I play. You're just another pile of pixels in my eyes. Your Crucible trinkets? No better than anything I can get anywhere else. Quit trying to shove your PvP E=Peen into my PvE game, brah. Your whole poll is pointless because you've given us no answer that results in anything but Yes. All three choices state yeah, newb armor. Fact: Beating the Raid takes skill. You CAN be carried if you are the ONLY one, but you still have to have the skill to stay alive vs the mobs. That ain't a walk in the park, or more than 1/4 of the total community would have beaten the raid. Fact: RNG is what sets most of us up on gear, so you claiming Raid armor is for newbs is completely flawed, as some of the most skilled players have yet to get full raid gear. Fact: You can sit and go 0 and 30 in Crucible or Iron Banner and still get gear. It takes NO SKILL WHATSOEVER to get gear in the Crucible, just a lucky roll. And before you start in on that tired bullshit of K/D, remember this: Some of us play the CTF/Salvage maps and ACTUALLY PLAY THEM, we don't just join that game type to pad our K/D. I've seen it in Halo, and CoD. Too many sit and camp to bump their K/D, thinking that's going to make them cool? Fact: Grinding the Iron Banner armors is the same as the Raid gear. Simple. You can suck, be low K/D, and still eventually earn points to gain Iron Banner Armor. You can do the same in Raid, but odds are, you won't stay in the Raid group if you suck. Final note: Your buddy claims you're not being elitist, but by demanding harder bounties and all for gear that anyone now has access to speaks otherwise. Folks, this is a game. For that word "Fun"? Making it your mission to be a 10/0 K/D might be fun for YOU, but for the rest of us you look like an ass getting on folks who play and gain gear. You want to impress folks with your gaming acumen? Stop trolling here, actually go pro, and show us. Otherwise, you're hot air dissipating quickly.

Just got my first flawless game in rumble today and I am pretty happy about it. As for your topic at hand, having skills in the crucible is one thing and having skills in the raid is another. Sure one can play rumble and not depend on anyone else but themselves, that is a skill all on its own...but being able to tackle the raid (especially on hard) as a coordinated team also involves quite a lot of skills. Being able to communicate in a clear concise way to let the team know what to expect is a skill. Being able to follow through and complete your given task is a skill (example: killing left side oracles, relic holder, etc.) Being the fireteam leader during a raid of first timers needs a lot of skills too. Just my two pennies. Carry on guardians!

You're good at the Crucible. Probably trash on the raid. Don't hate on people cause they play the game differently. I couldn't care less about Crucible or your K/d ratio. Get a life you elitist. No one cares what you do or don't respect. Yes, wearing my raid armor shows i spent a lot of time completing the most difficult content in the game.

how do you think iron banner is going to take any more skill than the raid? It is just as easy to carry a bad player in crucible as it is to carry a bad player in the raid (normal mode). Im sure there will be plenty of 0.5 K/D kids running around in glorious iron banner armor just like there are people who cant go positive with a mythoclast.

Shame on everyone for playing all of the game rather than a small portion. Oh wait...
