Lol if you read the comment after it translated into being another statement that used your correctly. Lol, idiot, lol.
-
If you actually read the timestamps, you'd see that Lee posted his correction before Monster made his, "your gay...friend" comment. Lee was correcting Dok Holiday, not Monster.
-
Ahhh but that's the thing as it doesn't matter anymore, because it's now one statement that does make sense.
-
Yes, somebody else's statement. Lee made a correction to an actual grammatical error. It doesn't really expunge anything just because somebody made a joke after the correction was made.
-
If you wanna go about it that way it wasn't a sentence that contained a grammatical error it was an ongoing statement left drifting with ellipsis, which someone else finished so no. Also lee couldn't even end a sentence with a period, so he's one to talk.
-
Calm down zero. You're getting a bit too pumped about this. The original statement did indeed have ellipses, but Dok meant for it to be the end of his statement. This constitutes an error.
-
Edited by zero1zero: 8/13/2014 9:24:09 PMAnyways the point is it worked out to not be a mistake with a continued post and that the OP is the one with bad grammar, end of discussion.
-
That's not how it worked out, actually. Considering that Monster didn't use quotation marks, it's considered not a continuation, but a separate statement entirely from Dok's.
-
Not on a forum that's using replies. Just drop it already. Stop getting so pumped up as you'd say.
-
I'm actually quite calm. Just explaining the rules of grammar to someone who clearly doesn't understand them.
-
Indeed you do not.
-
That made no logical sense in response to my previous comment. You might as well have said, "No u".
-
I'm glad you understood the point. Is there a reward you're looking for here or what?
-
This is why the world needs people like you to get a good education and study harder in school. It's you're because saying your gay and you're gay are different. You're is a contraction(I hope you know what that is) for you are. Which is said, you are gay. By just saying your gay. Implies my happiness, or my sexuality(which I'm not) but by saying you're gay it is making a definitive meaning I am happy or I am that sexuality. I hope this is a lesson you will remember, oh and I won't even charge you for it. YOU'RE welcome.
-
zero1zero is right. The guy said
your gay... Friend
referring to a gay friend that the guy has. Soz.
-
Lee was correcting Doc Holidays first comment where Doc said, "Your gay" and that was it. So he incorrectly used Your when it should have been You're. Look at the time stamps. Lee was not correcting Monster, As Monster used the correct spelling of the word in his comment. Hence, Lee not correcting him.
-
The original poster that I referred to said he was wrong since he typed it on an iphone. This convo is over with. I'm done with people that need to go back to school.
-
But Lee! I thought no child gets left behind...
-
Stop being obnoxious everyone here understands grammar. You're the one making the most mistakes not even putting periods at the end of your sentences.
-
Ah, see I thought you were referring to the second one
-
Ah you're so simple minded. Reread my last statement and maybe you can figure it out.
