I feel like in the current sandbox, elemental perks are King. Destabilizing rounds, voltshot, and incandescent are all standard, on any primary or secondary weapon, for add clear. With Red Deaths' current setup, I feel it is lacking the extra "Oomph" to really make it feel exotic.

Let me guess, you want Red Death to touch you under the desk, too? Why does this community think that every gun in the game needs to be the only gun they ever want to use? Subclass Verb this, Max Reload that, Bring Me to Climax on Demand, etc. Make those "difficult" build choices yourself, or go copy a content creator like usual. Stop demanding one gun do all the work for you.

6 RepliesThe entire point of it is that you're semi invincible. Every kill is 120 hp and every 3rd kill is restoration x2. It also gets a massive damage buff for just a scratch. Like 15% for 99%, 25% for 70%, 40% for 50% hp. It also grants 60 hp to nearby allies and restoration x2. It's not meant to blow up an entire room in the blink of an eye.

1 ReplyI thought bungie had no creativity. Turns out the community and bungie are the same.

4 RepliesJust grab a Summoner that has Heal Clip and Incandescent, not only will it wipe groups of ads and provide free heals if paired right with Spirit of Scars you also get free heals just for the kills, so free heals on kill and on reloading.
-
Agree that would be fun…

Edited by glitchHiker: 2/27/2025 12:45:17 PMVerb perks are the new standard except on palindrome for whatever reason, automatically making it irrelevant and outdated. Red death feels the same way. It's not nearly strong enough for master-level content and not worth an exotic slot versus something with heal clip like aberrant/Luna/summoner, etc.

I just wish it had bonus damage every so often. We already had Crimson which was basically a better Red Death compared to D1. And, whether it's user error, recoil, or the fact it's a 120 that fires a 3 round burst as opposed to the (new) actual burst fire hand cannon archetype, feels inconsistent as hell. Red Death? It's just a team support version you actually have to reload. Only change I'd make is either turn it into a fully offensive rifle, or just give it a bonus damage burst when it's fully charged with the catalyst.

1 ReplyFor those that think incandescent would be overkill on RD. I would recommend taking a look at destabilizing rounds. I would argue that it is a much stronger and better version of incandescent and voltshot

Bump.
-
2 RepliesThey aren't going to buff a healing weapon in there current "Health Is A Currency" bs
-
4 RepliesNot every gun needs incandescent, destabilizing rounds, or the ability to jolt.
-
3 RepliesTommy’s matchbook, sunshot, Ticuu’s divination, Jotunn, Polaris Lance. just a few weapons that get the ability to ignite things, just use speakers sight with one of those dude, or the warlock solar exotic glaive red death is fine right now
-
3 RepliesNo other exotic has restoration. (Lumina is a straight up heal and doesn't count.)
-
5 RepliesLmao it’s literally don’t die the gun. Just get a gun with heal clip and incandescent.
-
2 RepliesIt's good in the Nether, I ran it for a couple of days... at base feels a little clunky, but when you get it ramped up... feels great. I'd give a little bump to the reload & handling base stats.

That literally makes no sense

Bump! ✅ Also, all 3 elementals for Hard Light…and Borealis, too! 🥳 That is all. Ease Springs! 🫡 MDGA
