How boring is Destiny…?
Destiny 2….. the game I used to love, but now it has become so stale that anytime I log on I pray for there to be new content or content that isn’t boring and repetitive. Not to mention this game Time-Gating anything it possibly can. I just logged onto Destiny, went to the tower, and just nothing but the usual stuff… it’s October 22nd, 2024 and there isn’t a single Halloween decoration or anything there. I don’t understand how this game has so much potential but so little effort being given towards the game. Just poor effort on bungie. Companies need to be called out for caring more about the money then the product they made for ppl to enjoy.

3 RepliesLove the game for a long time! Played since the birth of Destiny. But the devs are changing things I do t like. These tonics for example. The modifiers, the match making and PvP connection. I’ve played so many PvP titles and destiny had something different and special but the p2p + cross play n having no server means it will never be taken seriously. COD Bo6 out Friday whoop!

I feel ya, i used to chase seals and weapons etc, took the game far too seriously. Recently I've just stopped chasing things and just playing. Find a lot more enjoyment now just picking the game up a couple times a week and chilling shooting things. 🤣

1 ReplyNot to be antagonistic, but I'm actually finding the game the game to be quite fun at the moment. I've made a point of creating silly builds for low to mid tier activities & it's been quite fun. Done a load of Gambit & Onslaught recently with derpy loadouts that make it all or nothing slay out sillyness & it's been a rite larf 🤗 Titan can be a laff riot & Warlock is a stasis shenanigans 🤪 Hunter has me working on solar for a change & it's another death or glory rampage episode 🤭 Maybe that's jus me, but the less serious I take this game, the more fun I have.. The game is what ya make it. Ya can be serious or silly. I currently recommend silly 😆

There’s just a husk of this game/company remaining these days. Most of the good staff that were still around/hadn’t left were hoovered up by Sony for another project not too long ago. Still, the Halloween event starts next week, on the 29th. So get your wallet ready as anything good will most likely be stuck in the cash shop instead of available as an event drop from gameplay. -
Most games can become boring if you play them for too long without a break, and Destiny is no exception. But, in the game's current state, even if you came back after a months-long break, you would not only be completely lost story-wise, there's also very few activities that are actually worth playing, at least in my opinion. For me, Forsaken is and will always be the peak of D2, but sadly those days are long gone, especially since they removed half the game's content.

Left after final shape, played a lot of games from Secret World Legends, SWTOR, Space Marine 1 and 2, Rouge Trader, Pathfinder WOTR, Darktide and For Honor. And when I came back to play D2, I legit loaded in to the EDZ, stood their for a minute, then quit and went to play another game.

It's gone very stale for me. I'm stepping back and taking a long break. I'm mainly solo so will be interested to return for the announced "solo ops" thing, but I highly doubt it'll be another few hundred hours worth. Not only that, the latest stuff has annoyed me. I hated stasis since it became a thing; never used the stasis weapons or classes, and now it's very heavily stasis-focused. Annoying.

Wake up call for a lot of people to just play something else. I’ve been playing Fortnite, Risk of Rain 2, and Dead by Daylight. Games where the community is actually respected

2 RepliesSo boring that the funniest thing Bungie has done in months is called seasons episodes but failed to change half of the associated UI, so it still says seasons. It’s so funny dude, they tried so hard to pretend this stuff was gonna be different and they couldn’t even put in the effort to change some text on the UI. That has to be the perfect representation of how this companies has handled this product. Always claiming it’s gonna be new, different, exciting and then shipping the most bland and boring seasonal content. Sorry, episodical content? Whatever lol
