I'm slaying out in comp and get disconnected from their servers because of my "connection issues", so I test my internet speeds ... 1,000+ down, and 270+up, I call bullshit. Wired connection, Series X, #yourserversaretrash

2 RepliesIt’s hilarious how so many of you will go through any length of excuses instead of admitting you have terrible internet. I rarely get disconnected when I do comp so it’s clearly something in your end.
-
Don’t worry about it. Bungie tries I guess. They’ll fix it.
-
It's not the speed, it's the load. What else in the house is running at the same time?
-
Im still surprised by how surprised the community is about Destiny's servers. Server stability has been an issue since D1. What's even more surprising is how people continue to spend money on this dumpster fire of a game knowing the issues existed for so long and Bungie has shown desire or spent no effort in resolving it.

Welcome to peer to peer connection. Your internet speeds are totally irrelevant.

Ddos too the rescue lmao

Since when is that a secret? Obviously 90 % of the errors are on Bungies end. They just never made the effort to change their error codes descriptions. Its always one the players end according to them. Also when big updates hit and you get weasel'd 24/7. Always on the players end...

4 RepliesEdited by Ehhhric13: 2/26/2024 1:31:11 AMIt's common knowledge by now that bungie's servers are unstable at random times

You aren't wrong and you are at the same time. Between 2014 and 2020 I had Time Warner at the top speed they offered and had barely over 30ms of ping and yet I still had issues with D2(never in D1 though). I moved to where I am now and I switched to PC, and even though my Internet is not as good here my pvp was much more stable. After cross play was implemented visible lag instantly became atrocious. Now pvp is unplayable for me because without solo que it is extremely unusual to get a clean game. There are a lot of factors at work, but the biggest factor is that consoles build up cache errors very quickly and need to be rebooted constantly to play cleanly in pvp. Because of p2p everyone in the lobby is affected. There are only two solutions. 1) bring back solo que so I can play in a PC only lobby again. 2) put at least one mode per week with cross play disabled. The biggest reason people have stopped playing pvp is cross play.

4 RepliesTrue that. Somehow haven't learned over the years that they are going to suddenly have a major spike in players when the dlc was coming out each year and you have to wait either a few minutes to a whole day in order to get in.

17 RepliesIt’s p2p your connection is based of who ever is hosting that’s what buggies connection is Stone Age tech

Welcome to p2p. It's been a thing since before the Romans ruled ¼ of the world & it will still be a thing when the Reapers from Mass Effect come back for the next cycle. 🤣

You didn’t get DDOS’d?

You sir/madam are correct with your call. WINNER.
