4 RepliesI wonder if OP screams at Janitors when they close restrooms to clean them.

Nothing is getting out of hand and this is a non-issue, reset is every Tuesday for resetting weekly tasks to updating for QoL/patches/expansions.
-
Out of hand? Seriously?? Seems like you just wanna complain to hear yourself complain. Although the game is garbage at present and should be better, I can't see that NOT having maintenance would improve it. You really need to think before you start with these kinda posts.
inside voice, maybe?
Just stop. It's getting out of hand.
So they should stop updating the game?
-
If they didn't do weekly maintenance, the game would run even worse
-
Bruh, iff you can't stand an hour ore couple of hours without Destiny you have way more serious problems. 🫣
-
Most live service games do this. And, oddly enough, most of them are on Tuesdays. Blizzard does WoW in the morning on Tuesdays, for example.

D2 players: "Fix your game, there are so many bugs and downtime because of server issues is too long!" Also D2 players: "Stop doing regular maintenance and updates!"
-
They don't want to get new stable servers so they have to do weekly downtime to not overheat the ancient servers that are held together by duct tape.

1 ReplyEdited by The Hermit IX: 8/8/2023 7:01:53 PMThey need to maintain the game so the pow wow can set up boycotts they don’t follow through with. Do you yell at road workers too?
Just stop. It's getting out of hand.
Did you miss something earth shattering? Trust me you didn’t

oh no i can't play for 30 mins what a tragedy , bungie stop fix problems thank you

So the reason this happens is because of their poor decision making, and they let it get so out of hand, you know because they're professionals, that in order to actually keep it relatively functional, they have to shut it down each Tuesday. All because they couldn't be bothered to do their job with integrity, and while they do work hard, they just don't seem to care. So this is basically the state of the game until it dies, whenever that happens.

Edited by Seki: 8/8/2023 2:42:39 PMThis time they have to remove the solstice content at the very least.

Edited by Daemon White: 8/8/2023 5:52:29 PMWe've seen what happens when they don't. A few times there wasn't a weekly update and the servers were just left to run on... It wasn't pretty with insane levels of server slowdowns and things just breaking in general. Excessive rubber-banding enemies and health bars, loot taking minutes to process from encounter clears, that kind of thing. I'd rather the maintenance downtime for an hour a week vs being unable to play the game anyway for days on end.
-
Think of it as a mandatory play break 😂

3 RepliesIt's maintenance....Are you dense?

Can you read the definition of “maintenance” please and thank you. 💀 by the way here is your L

Lmfao some people literally whine about everything.

4 RepliesThere is no other game I can think of that is this stupid in terms of downtime. Bungie should have evolved Destiny in too a proper 3rd installment, instead bloating this one making it unstable and needing to cut content. I’ve come back after a year to play through somm content i biught last year but never played but to be honest i’m just left with the feeling Destiny is just busy work at this point.

4 RepliesIt’s always been like that, and it’s sucks.

1 ReplyStop putting the game back on every week. Keep it off until it’s fixed!
