All it does is slows enemies IF you can -blam!- get it to proc before killing enemies.
The quest and boss to get the -blam!-'s things too much of a bother, and LFGs are -blam!- cause all the playerbase does is quit if you fail ONCE.
Will be that -blam!- who just waits til it's at the Kiosk.
This ain't it Bungie do better next time
Edit: Catalyst just gives it Overflow so -blam!- NO I'm not getting this .

3 RepliesSo I have done 8 Sherpa / Carry runs of the mission this evening. It is fine with the right strats. Happy to help people.
-
Yeah, it’s just another useless toy.
-
1 ReplyYeah not even going to bother which is a first time for me ! Even the last exotic quest I only did the first part ….the glaive , dipped out . Exotic quests used to be interesting and exciting. Even exotic engrams I just delete now , what’s the point . Just a shame it’s going down like this .

It definitely needs a buff. I think once the perk procs, it should apply slow in an 8 meter AOE. Also, it should have headstone built in. These 2 changes would make it so much more useful and good in pvp, low end pve, and upper level pve. At the moment it's only useful in high end pve

3 RepliesI have the new scout and its ok. Not great but ok. I haven't liked many exotics as of late cause they either are dog water or they get nerfed. Bungie really needs to stop nerfing everything it just makes the game a slog fest. What we need is more weapons the mass of the players have access to ,get rid of the dumb spoils of conquest at the tower to purchase weapons move the raid exotics for purchase after the initial release of the raid . We don't need a million more auto rifles or a million more perks we need weapons that work. This game has flat lined. Needs power brought back into it. Not dumb mechanics on timers.Or weapons locked behind raid walls. That is going to be the end of bungie .

2 RepliesJokes on you if they say seasonal content is sticking around , which is possible I was waiting on Garden to be vaulted so I could get a welfare Div, nope
-
Its meant for GM's try it for a week before bashing it lol
-
7 RepliesThe weapon is actually really strong and you can make some really good builds with it. It's basically a primary weapon that can dominate all champions.
-
The way you type and express yourself, I can see why people back out after playing with you once. I imagine that you constantly yell into the mic every time you die or don't get a kill. Very unpleasant person to be around.

This ain't it Bungie do better next time
WTH are you smoking because (this is literally them doing better.) I can't see how a lot of you just ignore the reality that has been and still is smacking you in the face, saying Wake the F up! that they suck as a developer, but they do a good job when it comes to being a business making money off of you suckers. It's why Sony bought them 😂

3 RepliesI don't know about that. It kinda crispy.🤑
-
It’s a stasis scout that slows. It’s just another useless toy. That’s all this game is about now: Throw a trash activity that rewards another toy there will be nothing to use it on on the game. This game has plenty of toys, but very little really to use them on. And activities offered are all the same.
-
This scout is meant to deal with campions without needing it to be a seasonal weapon or having intrinsic champion stuff on it. Rapid crits on an overload to "slow" them which stuns an overload and even more crits to freeze an unstop which once shattered stuns them. So I agree it was not worth the effort.
-
10 RepliesI really don’t know why this exists. I could just use a fusion with chill clip. Or use an Osmio Warlock and just slow/freeze every single thing
-
1 ReplyHow would you compare this weapon to a Hung Jury with rapid hit/ Firefly?
-
4 RepliesTether and wells with 2 forerunners and a div.
-
Not every weapon in the game is useful in every situation. It's a huge W for Nightfalls where you hang back at a distance. Plenty of exotic weapons in this game people don't use that others do.
-
It’s practically meant to be used in GM’s. Instrinic unstoppable and overload, and it freezes barriers often enough to prevent them from regenerating. Not a trash weapon, just a niche one that only excels in endgame content.

2 RepliesAh I'll never know it'll be a cold day in a very hot place before i stand at a pond waiting for my rod to glow.

8 RepliesEdited by Wintermute 2050: 7/6/2023 5:19:58 AMIt may take a while before players understand how this new weapon and its synergy work together. Already today the sentiment is changing. We have seen this happen with other weapons. Do you remember The Mountaintop? It was condemned as a trash weapon upon release. Then streamers discovered how to use it, and The Mountaintop became an OP and overused weapon.

1 ReplySpeaking from experience you can split the precision hits among targets, meaning you can one-shot three minors then start stacking Slow with the first hit against a Major. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)
-
24 RepliesSure all it does is slow. If by that you mean. Slow Freeze Auto reload shortly after precision kills Counter 2 champions extremely well Counter the last champion in a pinch Consistently give armor charge with a mod. Gun is great and feels good to shoot. When 180 scouts get a buff, the gun will be nuts.

2 RepliesEdited by Hawpy: 7/5/2023 11:51:18 PMI'm both a Scout Rifle user and a Stasis lover, so I'm highly biased in favour of the gun, but I think it's getting far less credit than it deserves. Infinite ammo freezes from Scout range without requiring a kill - it being the only primary weapon that can do this - is stupid powerful for endgame content. It has great interaction with many Stasis Fragments, especially some lesser-used ones like Whispers of Rending and Hunger. Slow and freeze allow it to stun two Champion types, regardless of whether Scout Rifles have an artefact mod or not; if they have Barrier then it will do all three, but Freeze already works decently against them without it. I'll reserve judgment on the Catalyst until we have it and know how strong the overflow effect is, but allowing for longer slow/freeze chains isn't the worst thing. Adding Headstone to it would be great, of course, but an outright replacement might do more harm than people think. It is a gun that is built for the endgame. We see many builds that are fun in low-level content where you can blitz through everything and make tons of explosions, but fall flat when you can't mow through enemies to keep a chain going. This is the opposite, something that gets better with difficulty. You might ask why anyone would use it over Ager's or a Chill Clip Fusion. The answer is that it offers safety and consistency. Infinite-ammo permafreeze from Scout Rifle distances sounds a lot more powerful than
All it does is slows enemies IF you can -blam!- get it to proc before killing enemies.
6 Repliesits only good for champs since you can freeze them after the 2nd freezing shot. otherwise what exotic is even good in this game? Bungie cant tune an exotic in PvP at all or balance anything. PvE there are like 5-7 exotics a season that could be useful.
-
They need to drop the shots to slow/freeze and give a little something else in PvE. Option 1: PvP: Slow on 3rd crit, freeze on 5th. Slow is actually viable in PvP and freeze can be used to counter supers occasionally. + PvE: Slow on 3rd crit, freeze on 4th. Slow does basically nothing in PvE. Combatants take to long to freeze that they either die or you have so little ammo afterwards. OR Option 2: Slow on 3rd crit, freeze on 5th, add Headstone to Catalyst. This gives you some sort of bonus against red-bars while keeping PvE and PvP the same.
