So got back into trials this season after not playing last season and WTF? I don't consider myself a pvp god by any means but I did go flawless a couple of time a few seasons ago. But this weekend... utter BS. As you can see from my Trials report the vast majority of teams I faced were stacked (not teams but ELO) against my teams. I understand trials is supposed to be competitive and before anyone says "GIT GUD!" it's hard for an average pvp player to carry an average or below average team against a obviously stacked skilled team. This is why trials is having a hard time keeping a healthy population. To everyone that is saying "Well you still get trials rank." yeah.... like 54 for a lost and if you manage to get a win 64 and maybe out another 15-20 more matches another win. I was playing solo but I also played with two of my friends last night and it didn't feel any different and my one friend is pretty good. So I can't wait til bungie does the trials changes and hopefully it helps otherwise I don't see the trials population growing in fact I would see it shrink til only the sweaty of the sweats will be playing each other and then they will complain that there is no population to play against. I believe bungie sorely needs these changes to improve the satisfaction of trials for the pros and average players.

Trials is as balanced as to be expected in a high-skill PvP environment in my opinion. I'm not blowing smoke either; check my stats to see if I'm a "gatekeeper" or any such thing.

1 ReplyTrials this weekend was just fine for me.

1 ReplyTrials doesn't use skill based matchmaking (SBMM), just card/connection based matchmaking.
