Hunter Invisibility in Crucible
I basically find invisibility to be so cheasy and annoying. I'm not calling for a nerf, but can someone please give me some counters to this?
I have been playing survival and it's just full teams of hunters going invisible. The only part I find difficult is they always seem to get the first shot off. If it's only one hunter it's barrable but 3 just feels like hide and seek.
If dodge wasn't bad enough when going invisible the reticle no longer sticks basically making you have no aim assist vs someone who does.(more of a console problem).
Now I understand hunters need invis in PVE because they really don't have much else but in crucible what is something I could do other than just switching to my hunter?

4 RepliesInvis doesnt remove aim assist or reticle stickyness. That was removed in season 1. Also..holo scopes see through invis. And void 3.0 made invis EASIER to see than ever.

The problem is the play style with invis not the ability itself. The meta has shifted so hard from rushing with a shotty to crouched in a corner with invisibility. In a game with less than 1 second ttks and hella one shot weapons it’s super annoying when people play slow.

It's been annoying since day one of D2. Bungie's idea of fun is getting ambushed by some fusion toting Nightstalker baiting someone around a corner with a smoke grenade.

The thing is, Invisibility really weeds out the players. If you consistently look at your radar, then it'll be a huge detriment to you. But I've had some challenging matches against foes who don't use radar. They get me, more than others do, but getting suppressed really dampens that playstyle. Also, running into a group of overshielded opponents ruins a good flank.

It isn't really invisible at all, they're barely harder to see than normal. Now the advantages are not showing up on radar and the resistance from omnioculus.

Use your eyes and stop relying on radar. Invis has AA. It's had it for a long time. If there are people missing from view, watch or listen on the flank. Odds are that's where they'll be

4 RepliesNever had problems killing ‘invisible’ hunters before. Maybe it’s a color blindness issue? It’s a pretty visible purple outline. If it were green or blue I know I’d be screwed.

Void got nerfed . As a void main I prefer the last seasons over this . The whole point of void hunter is to be invisible for free map positioning . I’m a flanker for my team and now I am not lol 😂 what’s the point

7 RepliesIm just gonna abuse invisibility on my hunter to the point bungie gets it nerfed. Its just too easy to run out of medals whenever I play night stalker in pvp. Anyone saying “just use your eyes”, its fine to defend the crutch, it will get nerfed either way if enough players abuse it. I know I’m gonna be running around invisible in crucible while using chaperone for easy kills.

I don't know if bungie have a sound setting for footsteps aswell be worth a look and turn it up if their is if not please bungie implement this . Titan with one mask would be good or the new titan exotic that drops a sunspot would make an invisible hunter regret challenging you

Edited by Starkweather: 2/25/2022 8:44:23 AMNot very many counters so far. What I’ve started using again is Eye of Another World and Vortex grenades with Chaos Accelerant. So even if they go invisible I have a better chance at seeing them and/or their cloaking means diddly to The Void Suck.

Use a hunter with invis and gemini jesters back at them lol

1 ReplyThe initial sprint after going invis pings your radar. From there judge where the hunter might possible come from. They also appear as hazy purple dust.
