I really haven’t liked most of the armor since destiny 2 launched but recently there have been some pretty nice sets. The new dawning armor is looking especially good.
-
Agreed. The seasonal armors, the event and the dungeon ones are good examples. And that phoenix fall ornament ofc
-
Totally agree. The warlock dawning armour is gorgeous 🙂
-
I’ve loved a lot of the armor recently. Really most of the last year for me personally. But the streetwear, thorn, and dawning armors are particularly nice looking.
-
Those hipster ones will never touch my toon.

2 RepliesIn destiny 2 I hate how the hunter armor pieces are not symmetrical like one side has a should armor piece on it and the other side doesn’t it makes me angry like the only nice hunter arms is the trial’s of Osiris armor piece not the new trials armor the previous one also my d1 hunter is so much better proportioned in d2 the legs look to big especially the thighs and the arms look like slime Jim’s they never size fit with my chest piece’s man please fix bungie!!!

3 RepliesEh personally I don't really like any of the armour coming out lately and would rather have more gritty looking gear like what we had in D1. Warlocks need less dresses and long chest pieces. Titans need more tactical looking gear with a glint of sci fi instead of just giant shouldered knights. Hunters need more scavenger looking stuff. There a couple nice sets in D2 mainly dawning sets, warlock deep stone chest piece. A few eververse sets. Old D1 sets from forsaken. A few raid pieces. Some seasonal stuff. Most of it is ugly and an instant dismantle unless the stats are godly but now I have no need for that so it's just dismantle them. I'd give anything for an update where they bring back all D1 blues and legendaries minus endgame ones and add new gritty sets and more sci fi looking sets instead of dresses for warlock, mismatched hunters where one part is armoured to hell and the other is just a bit of fabric. Knight titans like ttk iron banner, and more tactical looks or ones like the old D1 poster with the little fur collar. Armour in destiny is a big step down from D1 when most of the blue sets in D1 are better. The only D2 sets as a hole that stand out to me are. Warlock season of hunt ornaments. Hunter last wish. Warlock base/ornaments from season of undying. Hunter season of undying ornaments. Titan season of undying ornaments. Warlock crown of sorrow Hunter crown of sorrow. Titan dreaming city. Titan most recent two dawning sets. Titan/warlock most recent solstice. Titan crucible ornaments with the feathered chest. Hunter season of arrivals ornaments. Titan deep stone. Titan Europa. New hunter trials. New warlock trials. Those are the only full sets I like rest of the armour is just pieces I like and mix and match. The team needs to step it up and make us look like god killing warriors again covered in parts of our enemies. Vault should have had the ornaments for hardmode challenges, A proper vex leg on a hunter would look do nice. I'd love to see these sets come back. warlock crota gear to come back easily the best warlock set and the most badass. Hunter vault ornaments with the vex leg, easily the best hunter raid gear. Titan kings fall gear Titan ttk iron banner Hunter ttk iron banner Warlock rise of iron set Warlock and hunter vanilla D1 ps exclusives blue sets. I just think what we have now is a load of ugly crap with a few decent pieces not sets but pieces that can be matched to make a nice look.

Edited by Artisan: 12/17/2021 4:02:08 PMThe tassles and bling are a drag queens dream but fortunately there's shaders to cover it up. The new Warlock ornament for Phoenix Protocol is actually amazing. The previous phoenix themed ornament for it was also strangely one of the best in the entire game. Two of the best Armor looks for one exotic. Pity I rarely use it! Please stop designing Warlock with DRESSES 👍

To each their own. I can imagine that the designers of Destiny 2 do not have an easy job with all those already existing armors (it's hard to create something new) but the current armor for The Dawning looks just like a decorated christmas tree. Everywhere there are those little "candles" hanging headlong down.

1 ReplyBeauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess, I think all of the armor is ugly and shades terribly ... D1's armor is superior in every way.

9 RepliesEdited by hate n payne: 12/16/2021 9:28:55 PMDon’t sugarcoat BS. It is hit and miss in every season. The problem I have is how the female characters are all anorexic especially when it comes to the Warlock armor. We need a dial that allows up to scale our character in terms of size. Honestly if they allow transmog to go deeper in terms of changing our armor ie mix match components of each armor set.

Let’s not be too hasty here.

13 RepliesThanks for the feedback! Team's been putting a lot of work in. Thanks to an update we did back when Beyond Light shipped, shaders have been applying in great ways to newer sets as they come online.
-
I agree, all the previous sets I was “meh” about but this Dawning set is actually pretty nice. Wish I could buy individual pieces and not the whole set though 😔
-
Yea and they are charging more for them too.
-
I wish they would put this much effort into the Festival of the Lost armor. Sure this year was pretty good but overall The Dawning has always been better.
-
Can the titan armor shoulder pads not look too bulky? That's all I'm asking.
-
1 ReplyI agree. Give credit when it's due. Fantastic job.

6 RepliesEdited by NVMYGT: 12/15/2021 2:48:03 PMSome of the armor sets in D2 are nice but we still have yet to get the equivalent to Age of Triumphs armor ornaments we got 4 years ago.
-
The Hunter RN54 set is awesome and the Warlock P'for set is a fun nod.
-
That Dawning Drip tho......loving that.
-
I never thought they'd surpass the Winterhart set but they did it. Not taking this set off for a LONG time. The warlock set looks amazing with Crucible Prestige.
-
3 RepliesI still haven't seen much that comes even close to D1 armor.
-
titan main and though it's subjective, d2 armors are meh at best for me. d1s are way better. plus it don't help that some of the nice looking d2 armor are in the eververse.
-
I agree the armor has improved. I almost have a dungeon set with running master last week just a couple pieces to get. I loved the street armor, the event armor and I’m slowly acquiring Xur set with the new activity. Can’t say that I liked 4 different sets over the course of year previously. Definitely a big improvement.

Give us some of that badass D1 skins plz. I really love the current gear system we have, like being able to turn armor we like into universal ornaments. I was asking for that for years so glad they listened.
