Shame to have whisper sitting in vaults with such amazing ornaments. Move to special.

1 ReplyUnlimited ammo on this sniper is not really an issue anymore with how boss phases are setup. It's also quite difficult to sit there and get crits with ads and bosses shooting at you anyway, so the whole argument about unlimited ammo breaks the game is moot at this point.

13 RepliesI honestly wouldn't mind if its ammo nerf would he reversed. Most bosses in the game have tiny crit points and move around so much so its very difficult consistently hit crits, especially on controller. Not to mention being hammered by the boss an everything else shooting at you flinching you all over the place. Whisper hasn't had a place ever since xeno was introduced due to the fact that the damage is similar and xeno can hold more shots and you don't need crits to do full damage. Whisper needs the catalyst and you cant miss any crits in order to keep up. Xeno is a better option in pretty much every aspect. Whisper definitely needs something

Yeah why do they make ornaments for weapons nobody even uses lol. Unless you want swag that's fine but I'm not going to spend money to just make the gun pretty and not use it

I have not seen a single whisper since it got nerfed. So no its not fine, stop being delusional. Whisper is a heavy sniper thats not even able to one shot body in crucible, it’s literally a special weapon. Its a special weapon in the heavy slot for absolutely no reason. Why would anyone want to use whisper over the real heavies like 1k voices or anarchy? Whisper was only a true heavy with its infinite ammo, its a special weapon at the moment so no reason to keep it in the heavy slot.

2 RepliesNah, it’s mostly boss design. All our current boss fights are sprints against bosses with very small DPS windows. That’s not where whisper shines. It does need a little help though, like a lot of Y1 exotics. I’d give it back it’s infinite ammo but make it so that it only has 5-6 ammo total.

I'd rather buff it for some diversity in the heavy slot. Just make it hit harder and maybe bump up the RPM.

The strength of purple power weapons are To be clear, their power isn’t a ‘problem’ Pairing them with whisper is (Bungo has been weakening/slowing us down incrementally to get back to pre-GoFast update) Should def be moved to energy slot along with Queenbreaker, Acrius, etc

Agreed. Doesn’t whisper do the same amount of damage as other aggressive frame sniper rifles as well? Seems to be a waste of a heavy slot since the perk doesn’t refund ammo like it used to and other heavies like spike GLs, rockets, and lfrs out damage it even if you can land your crits.
