Now look, don't get me wrong. Savathun's design is really good, she looks like a God of lies and deceit as she should but when you look at some of the community concept art or even the art in the Grimoire anthology I couldn't help but feel that there was something off about it. It's taken me a while to figure it out but I've finally put my finger in it, it's the same problem that d2 titans have and even some warlock armour; the shoulders are too big for the head. If you look at titans the majority of arms are huge, usually twice through size of the head. It looks unnatural and often can be used with hilarious consequences. The same can be said for the collars of some warlock robes. I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this or if it's just me but at the end of the day the design looks good (Oryx is still better though) but I can't help but feel it could've been executed differently
TLDR: savathun's shoulders are really big aren't they

4 RepliesI was just expecting a giant hive wizard to be honest , glad I was wrong

1 ReplyIt’s just her voice to me lol. All the hive who speak sound demonic, but Savathun sounds human.

2 RepliesRumour has it that Savathun will peregrine greaves melting point a random person on your raid team, then all adds will swarm him.

Interesting thoughts. I think for the most part I agree. When Savathun was unveiled It wasn't at all what I had expected. I had hoped they would go with a more Sorceress style look for her. Similar to a lot of the concept art being developed by people in the Destiny community. I understand that they are borrowing from other themes and trying to make Savathun look like a Witch in the pointed hat kind of tradition which makes sense. But perhaps the creative taste will require getting used to. But tbh it's entirely possible that as we progress she may morph into something else.

really not feeling the design tbh..probably is the big -blam!- shoulders...makes her look short and stocky.

Savathicc's shoulders are fine the way they are, thank you very much.

Her look is whatever to me....but her voice...I can’t stand it!!

2 RepliesHer teethless-looking mouth makes her look like someones old grandma

Shoulders aside, which are large, my thoughts are occupied with her crown. The Tinfoil hat part of my brain says it looks like Mara's symbol from the top down perspective. Mara also said she has a crown her something that was a gift to her just as Ager's Scepter was given to Uldren. Maybe Savathun takes it for herself. I have been doing a lot of speculating since the reveal.

Am I missing something? You said her design is really good? She's a gigantic legendary shard. Stop exaggerating.

Ive always found the hive designs to be dull and boring.

He left big shoes to fill and she doesn’t come close IMO.

To me, her design really screams "Divine Evil", with the stylized shoulders and the crown-halo thing.

when i first saw her i could tell it was loosly based off of victorian designed dresses

2 RepliesI agree, and also the male hunters sometimes look like short dudes that do a lot of pushups but always skip leg day.

She looks like a combination of Micolash from Bloodborne and Lucifer from Persona.
