Rapid fire fusions are in some of the top percentages for weapons used in pve. Cartesian and null composure and plug 1 are meta picks for pve while zealots and Cartesian and plug 1 are ramping up in pvp usage. Slow fusions have been dominant since season 4 and it’s about time they step out of the spotlight.

Next season, they won’t see any usage. The mod this season will run out and fusions will have crappy DPS yet again. The only reason they’re used for Atheon is because of how much he moves around.
-
Null and Cartesian were used for DPS last season and didn’t have mods. Ease of use.
-
As I said, that’s due to a single boss being really weird. Name one other encounter where they compete.
As I said, that’s due to a single boss being really weird. Name one other encounter where they compete.
Just about any boss fight in the entire game.
-
Use them at Templar too. Can even use them on Taniks if you use the same strat with divinity. Do similar damage as slug shotguns and don’t require crit. Like I said, ease of use.
-
Yes same as nade launchers last season and thundercrash + focus lens before that. That is what bungie has said. The artifact makes different weapons good per season.
-
I’d be willing to bet that it’ll be something either machine gun or sniper rifle related next season.
-
Or glaive... and opressive darkness...because of the void changes.
-
I’d take those. Glaive looks cool and I’ve been perfecting my Controverse Hold build
-
For pve its only due to the season mod (1 burst maxes the debuff) after its gone their use will all but disappear
-
I’ve tested without the mod. Plug with reservoir burst hits pretty hard with ad clear being a good bonus. Cartesian with vorpal was a dps king before this season and now it got damage buffed along with all other fusions. I don’t see rapid fires going anywhere especially without the mod after this season.
-
Nice yeah still waiting on a plug to drop with it myself, rng have been a little unforgiving with me there.. Cartesian with vorpal yes is/was good must admit but still feel wont be as utilised outside of the season for obvious reasons where high impacts were rather useful pre s15
-
Apparently I was wrong. Maybe I just don't know the charging sound of the null composure, because I don't notice it. We'll see how much people use them after all of the mods expire.
-
Null composere is beast in both pve and pvp just lacks the range of the high impacts is all For pvp If Im going fusion its usually main ingredient (better rolls on my MI than I have on my plug ones) Null composure or Cartesian
-
I thought I had a god roll main ingredient, but the dann thing is inconsistent. Sometimes i destroy people and other times I only take down their shield, even though I'm still in short-mid range. The high impacts were always consistent.
-
Agreed, for main ingredient I aim for hip fire grip plus freehand mod get some crazy kills from hipfiring that one. Also have a great firmly planted + rangefinder one for the longer ohk potential
