connection speeds are only part of it. latency, ping, and dropped packets are major contributors, too. do you use wifi? wifi is a big no-no, as well, as it causes all kinds of packet loss.

Edited by Sayal: 8/9/2021 3:33:20 PMI do use wifi but I'm getting an ethernet cord soon. A problem I also experience is VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES, I get this quite a bit when I'm playing so would that contribute to this issue?

getting to a wired connection will definitely help you on the network side of things. as i am an xbox player i am very limited in my PC knowledge of this game, so maybe a PC player can weigh in. that said, i have seen on the forum that the issue with verifying game files can also adversely affect the network, but that seems to cause connection errors to the bungie servers, not bad connection issues.

Well sometimes when I load into an activity or just the game, the game will crash and give a message reading "Problem reading game content. Please close destiny 2, right click on Destiny 2 in the steam app to run "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES"...'in properties'. then restart Destiny 2 to try again" so i do not know if that would also affect Bungie thinking I'm lagging because this is a common occurrence when I play.
