I can not be the only person who thinks it would be amazing to be able to scrap that 15th chest piece and get a few spoils out of it instead of a useless drop you can’t use. Even if it’s like 2 or 3 spoils I’d rather have that then another garbage weapon or mark.
-
2 RepliesGo do Templar farming. It takes like two minutes to kill him and get five spoils per kill. Easy spoils
-
2 RepliesI’m sure I’m in the minority but, it’s fine as is. Those weapons were obtainable for a looooooong time in the raids they dropped from. If you didn’t raid or weren’t able to obtain them that’s unfortunate but to lessen their value because you still don’t wanna raid is not the answer. VoG is fun to play, it’s not all about the loot.
-
1 ReplyA downvote wouldn’t do this idea justice. The game literally showers you with spoils. The addition of them makes raid weapons overly accessible as it is. If you really want to cut corners farm for them idk why you’d need to but. Half of the encounters are a joke as is and some can be done with 3 or less people.

Dam id have a million. The pointless crap I've deleted
-
26 RepliesYou must be paying a different raid than VoG if you got a chest piece. All that drops from VoG is Vision of Confluence.
-
I am all for this idea. I like the 2 to 3 spoils. I for real do not need another Vision of Confluence. At 2 spoils per item dismantled it would give what, 1 additional shot at the chest in the end? Doesn't strike me as particularly game breaking.
-
1 ReplyI had a similar idea with trials. Dismantling trials rewards gives 2 tokens.
-
1 ReplyI swear if I get that ****ing scout rifle one more time (but still after weeks only have one armor piece for my warlock)
-
alt f4
-
1 ReplyThey could but then they would just give you less per encounter.
-
2 RepliesBungie: We here at Bungie don’t do Logic! How dare you want a looter shooter to actually Award you Loot…… How Obtuse!
-
2 RepliesGreat idea. all I want is AOT sparrow and paying 240 spoils seems too much for it.
-
People are acting like you said you struggle to get the 20 Spoil chest at VoG lol. When in Reality I think Mist people are after the 240 spoils raid weapons.
-
3 RepliesFor old raids... (LW and GoS)... Maybe? But for DSC and VoG? No, not a chance. Its so, so killer easy to get spoils already
-
4 RepliesCareful what you wish for. Bungie is pretty well-known by now to grant your wishes in a monkey's paw manner. You'll get your Spoils on dismantle, but all other sources of Spoils will be lowered to 20% of what they are now to compensate.
-
1 ReplyHow bout making every raid chest drop 5 spoils instead of 2 in older raids. Why does it matter
-
5 RepliesLower the requirement. You have to do like 50 raid encounters to get one thing.
-
I'll take 3 spoils for dismantling encounter gear, 2 for bonus chest gear, and 5 for dismantling the spoils chest gear.
-
Edited by Destiny2Gallows: 6/24/2021 3:14:13 PMThey should raise it per encounter or better yet, 120 of them upon rapid completion so they can’t be farmed and it would (in Bungie terms) equate to running whatever raid it was, though you ran VoG 3 times. Oops. Bad math. Lol. So 80 each run
-
Simple solution for the greater majority that do not raid - for whatever reason(s)…toxic LFG teams…recov LFG scalpers…no time…etc…drop the ‘spoils’ currency requirements so we can obtain older and/or newer Raid weapons (mostly) from the kiosk. The raid diehards can raid till they’re blue in the face - nobody cares, whichever side of the equation they’re on; then the rest of us can acquire said weapons / gear, as resources allow. Everybody wins! Just my 2d worth. YMMV. Cheers! MDGA

71 RepliesEdited by A_Hairy_Gnome: 6/24/2021 2:58:16 AMThey need to reimagine the end game rewards system. It's like a game of Goldilocks and the 3 bears. You can't be too generous because some gamers would complain the activity is giving out rewards too easily. You also can't be too stingy because gamers will become discouraged and starts to leave the game in disappointment. It has to be just right where gamers would feel at least rewarded in some form without feeling neglected. This is a tricky situation to balance out with RNG. And once you have everything, what else is there to play for? I agree with OP. Even if you already have the things you've wanted in an activity, when you repeat the said activity, you should feel like you are still being rewarded in some form or another. This is a design issue. And I think it needs improvement together with some improvement in the RNG algorithm. These two items needs to be addressed. And when they do, it may lead to a spike in population numbers in the end-game content activities. Just an opinion.

Vault of Energy weapons.
-
Sure. I'd be down for that
-
Good idea
-
I dont really raid but this seems like a good idea.
-
Yes! F farming spoils. But it would have to be like 1-2 per dismantle
