The Vault of Glass and the streamer modifier
I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say that we expected Day One VoG to be a little bit different.
Don‘t get me wrong, I don’t want it to be too easy, but for most player that aren’t hard core players the launch day was a failure due to the contest modifier.
And that’s sad because I‘ve never seen my friendlist so full of people playing Destiny. But now hours later it’s back to how it was before. Mostly empty with almost everybody struggling to get even past the doors or the Templar.
This launch could’ve been healthy for the mood of the playerbase but this modifier that’s mostly there for the streamers so that they can have a fair race ruined it for a lot of people that don’t even care about worlds first.
Guess I‘ll be back tomorrow.

1 ReplyI wasn't able to start the raid when it was released. My motorcycle was stolen the night before, so I was busy a majority of the day talking with police and with bosses at work. Once I was able to settle down, I started around 7pm that night. I enjoyed the difficulty it had. But only made it to the Templar. By the time me and my group got there, it was pretty late and we had to find a 6th person because one just up and left.

Honestly... it was all EASY except atheon. we spent 5 hours on the first encounters and atheon was the rest of the 19, wasnt able to finish it. Everything else tho? ez

1 ReplyWhat I find odd is that Mythoclast was dropping for alot of cntent creators. My feeds just been blowing up with just about every creator I have. All giving reviews on the gun and now the catalyst. All within a 24-48 hour time period.

day 1 is meant to be difficult. Maybe stay out if you arent up to the challenge? We got stuck on oracles, but left happy and got a new shotty. Didnt leave disappointed, we knew what to expect....

The majority of the changes they made to the raid just killed any enjoyment the raid originally had. Even after the contest modifier is gone the raid will still be unenjoyable.

3 Replies"streamer modifier" lol. This is always funny to be because the best players in the game are complete unknowns who dont even stream, i mean the worlds first team this year has only made a name for themselves since DSC and are a bunch of complete up and comers who 99% of people dont know.

4 RepliesThey could have launched normal and contest mode at the same time. If you wanna join in for worlds first and do challenge as well than you can. Why players aren’t given more options is beyond me.
