PSA: The 3 win Trials reward is Messenger
Time to channel your inner lemming again.

Out of 8 rolls that dropped for me (3 from bounty, 3 from 3 win rewards, 2 from tokens) I got 6 terrible rolls and 2 desperado rolls. I need to save what bit of soul I have left, had a few fun matches but the rest were not very fun.

3 Replies6 Messenger drops, more or less every one of them gotten without jumping (titan was underleveled). 3 had celerity, none had desperado. Feelsbadman. Was just about done with it all when I turned in tokens and got an Igneous hammer with extended/high cal/QuickDraw/rampage/range MW. That’s probably my luck for the rest of the season. Personally what I’d like to see is the Nightfall weapons get unique perks as well. Trials weapons get old pinnacle weapon’s perk, so maybe Shadow Price could get Onslaught.

2 RepliesManaged to get a flawless 6 wins first card, then got the doors blown off two games in a row by clearly tippity top players. Feels bad. Wanted that Adept Messenger. Made me realize how achievable Flawless still is though. Slightly inspired.

Got 3 wins and the bounty done, got Zen Moment/Kill Clip and Moving Target/Kill Clip. Not only that, I -blam!-ing 1v3'd a round, and generally put in a decent shift. Le Monarque served me well again 😁

4 RepliesI signed up for a cliff jumping LFG squad with some PvE players on the other side of the world. We ended up playing legit instead. Won a couple of games with evenly matched teams. Just couldn't get the third win once we started matching sweats. Still, my nice try, thanks for playing messenger rolled with moving target/desperado. I'll take it.

22 RepliesAnd the adept reward is messenger. Hot take, the flawless reward should always be adept messenger, adept eye of sol, or adept igneous hammer. No one wants adept exiles curse, or adept tomorrows answer, or adept solar scar.

3 Repliesi did this and i will never do it again. it was terrible and turned my whole experience negative. i never wanted to do trials and now i hate trials. i hope it’s cancelled forever. pvp is okay and all but THAT just turned me wayyyy the f*#k off. went into iron banner and got farmed as well from the new matchmaking. i do NOT like pvp and i now know why people dislike pvp and pvp players.

1 ReplyI'm the first to admit trials can be an absolute shit show but the last two weeks I've actually had some fun in there, got some decent weapons and even went flawless yesterday. Unfortunately I didn't come across any teams of suiciders though :( lol. When there's something that's both highly desirable and realistically earnable, the trials experience is very different. Instead of being matched with absolute sweat gods from the get-go, you have a fairly good chance of coming up against normal players and that's when you can actually have competetive matches and, shock horror, even a little bit of fun. I don't think it will work every week because there's just not enough loot to have something every week that players want to try for so some weeks it will go back to being a messy sweatfest jerkathon, but I think the last two weeks have shown that it can work, Bungie just need to find a way to keep that consistent.

3 RepliesI got a couple really good Messenger rolls last week turning in tokens. One of the better ones was Desperado, Outlaw, high caliber, smallbore and Stability masterwork, Redrix 2.0.1. I’ll probably skip this week. I want the sniper, maybe a better shotgun, so I will wait till one of them are in 3 win rotation. Sniper or SG didn’t drop at all from tokens last week, only hand-cannon, rocket launcher and messenger, and I turned in over 200 tokens.

2 RepliesMy favorite part of jumping off this week was getting matched with a team that jumped off first. We were like, um ok, 20% is good. Crazy that so many teams are jumping that we got matched. PvP maybe needs a look?
