Please BUFF warlock Blink!

You nerfed it because D2 on release was much slower game and it would've been a really strong mobility tool. But D2 on release and D2 now are two completely different games and those nerfs no longer hold any merit. Blink has a large cooldown, increased hit box because of the trail it leaves, weapon handling debuff, and an easy to predict animation. Considering we can only use it on our void sub classes (which is already impotent in pvp), removing some of these nerfs would make it feel much better. And yes, I know Astrocytes verse exist, but one of the main issues I have with this game is Bungie intentionally leaving something weak just to release an exotic that makes it usable. It really stifles build potential and variety, exotics [b]should[/b] buff our tools not just make them [b]usable[/b] . They've even went as far as making whole subclasses dependent on one exotic (choas reach +geomags), its ridiculous. With some buffs to blink Astrocytes should have its perks changed to something akin to increased blink distance and reduced fall damage, or remove the cooldown. This way its actually being what an exotic should be, and that is a steroid instead of being a life jacket .

  • Honestly i just wish every Warlock subclass had Blink. I would probably still use Warlock if i didn't hate Glide so much.

  • They did buff it and it's now light-years ahead. Really, really good and absolute dominates in PvP with the right exotic. They just changed Astrocytes name to Mask of Bakris. Blink further, invulnerable, on the ground, in third person, with no jarring visuals. Who says they're biased towards one class over another? 🤷‍♂️

    • I use blink in crucible, I have had fun with it. I haven't had many issues, and many people really don't expect it or aren't able to keep track of me. But I am on console so our turning speed is the equivalent of a cruise ship. Swords are also fun to use with it.

    • ah yes blink... the movement ability that takes away in air play and gives you a larger hitbox, a coodown on it and to top it off less distance than that new hunter exotic helmet.... at this point i'll take any buffs, i just wanna pop in and out of reality again.

      • They should at least remove or reduce the cool down on Blink, or allow you to use Glide while it's on cool down. Why even have it as a jump ability if you need to wait a few seconds in between uses, leaving you without any jump ability when you might need it? Why not take it out of the Movement Mode section, and put it as a third Class ability on Voidwalker, or place it in one of the 3 subclass Attunements, and let it work like Icarus Dash?

        • I'd be more inclined to use blink if it didn't stretch my hit box. My opponents shouldn't be rewarded with a free kill for shooting where I [i]used[/i] to be. That's just dumb IMO

                • Yep, any variety of buffs to base blink would be very welcome. Blink trail taking damage should be the first thing removed.

                    We all know the Warlock jump is shit so what do you think if Bungie change the current jumps for a variety of blink. Base blink : go far, and you don't have cool down. Double blink: like the one we have but you can blink two time per jumps. Hold blink: the more you charge it the longest your blink will be. (Your fall is slowed when your charging your blink. And all subclass should have it

                    Please God yes. I finally gave up . Mained void and blink nonstop since vanilla d1 , finally hung it up in beyond light because I was tired of -blam!-ing being screwed for using the most unique movement ability that has been outclassed by every other one.

                  • Yeah i wanted to embrace my inner blade dancer yesterday with blink and double QuickDraw. It’s shit. There’s too many penalties for one jump it’s stupid.

                      I mainly use Nova Warp on my Warlock and blink is the main jump I use, without Astrocyte most of the time (mainly because I’m not used to the distance it provides. It goes way farther than I expect at times). It’s a fantastic jump ability and can allow me to make plays or get out of situations that no other jump can. Does it have flaws? Sure but it’s still pretty damn good. I’d trade almost all the Hunter exotics including StompEE5s just to have the the non-Astrocyte verse version of blink on my Hunter. Hell, I’d give up the whole dodge class ability to have blink back on my Hunter. The only change I can really say it needs is removing the radar penalty since even in D1 people thought that was dumb

                      • Been using blink a lot recently and have been doing well with it. Best advice is to juke enemies... like running away and crouching where they're going to be coming from to chase you or blinking above/behind them because I can't tell you how many people get tunnel vision when they lose sight of you.

                      • Have you seen the replies to this? 90% of them are from PvPers. It's crap in PvE, or even as an Exploration tool. And if it was meant to be a Vs Player tool, [i]why dont hunters have it anymore?[/i] Honestly? if its going to be so worthless, it needs to be removed as a "double Jump" skill, and put as the Warlock's "dodge". This way, they can keep it in its current meh state, but make it viable as an evasive, without having to waste your jump. Can even keep the arbitrary hidden cooldown that never had a visible timer even in D1. honestly that'd be an awesome buff to all classes: Everyone gets a Dodge. Titans get an Air-Only dodge but it gives damage reduction during the animation. Hunters keep their ground dodge but maybe make it always reload their weapon regardless of tree. and Warlocks could get an omni-dodge (air or ground) but like, has a larger cooldown to offset the temporary hitbox removal.

                          • I would like a change completely something like a double blink because in PvE it's suck you can't reach were it have to reach but if you could double blink I think this will make it good and not even broken in PvP. I also like it if the blink could get add in the next dark subclass
