Warlock mains out there complaining about how they were nerfed, then semi un-nerfed. Or how hunters were nerfed, but really weren’t. But now it’s the Titans turn to be smacked in the face with the nerf gun.
I am a Titan main. I play a lot of PvP and more recently have started to also on my warlock and hunter. With playing a lot with stasis to compare and test things out. And hands down warlock and hunter have the easiest supers to handle and are usually more lethal if the Titan isn’t semi good.
Yet everyone is screaming how Titan super last toooooo long.
But guess what guys n gals? that’s because as a Titan with stasis super there is far much more room for error; you can whiff your hit. Flying you off in a ddifferent direction which means you need to turn around and come back at it and even then you’re running, sliding or straight up super-manning to find enemies who are very much still mobile and getting out of your way as you are actively chasing people who have the ability to turn the corner and get out of your field of view to escape. The slam is good... when you’ve encountered multiple opponents but even then, you have to follow up with a punch or slide to get the kill, them being frozen doesn’t mean you’ve won (It’s also pretty easily to dodge by jumping and straffing) and lord forbid, if you touch the ground near the opposition, your straight up getting popped by felwinters and yur dead.
I like to think I’ve got it down nowadays it can be at times a fine art, but it still gets hectic charging down with all the 8 million on screen things popping off. And as I mentioned, you’re also a visible, attractive target well within shotty range most of the time (vorpal shotty’s do wonders) so it makes sense for us to have a resilience buff as well.
In comparison:
A warlock pops super and in mid flight can assess the surroundings and shoot ice orbs to freeze multiple targets at a distance as you close in to hit them with AOE and shatter them or simply keep spamming the wand to kill them. The AOE also does damage to those not frozen. So even when surrounded in which your crystals have potentially damaged others that werent frozen but close but are still hunting. The AOE will usually take them out.
There are tonnes of times I’ve saw a stasis popped warlock and felt because I was behind them I could get the kill only for them to wip around and catch me with the freeze.
Hunters well. Hopping up into the air to throw two batarangs, you can either cover quite a sizeably wide area by throwing them apart, or hone-in on one small area by grouping them together. At both times you’re able to kill with a batarang hit. All whilst creating hurricanes to chase down and freeze opponents. And whilst your coming back down to earth you can smash them, with a still very wide, AOE shatter dive. AND then You are still very mobile in looking out for frozen markers to get another shatterdive in. I have seen countless times a hunter Squal wipe out teams. And it’s always great to respawn in a hurricane and die again. That super also feels like it lasts forever.
I’m not saying this as a Titan main, but the duration of the titan super is because you are chasing down. You do not have the luxury of freezing at distance and going in for the kill. You are chasing those trying to duck under cover your loosing your super. So you are spending more time covering ground to get to a kill than the other classes simply outright freezing opponents to get multiple kills.
Now Titan super will probably be reduced. But hopefully not significantly because then the stasis Titan is at a huge disadvantage against the other classes, stasis wise.
I feel peoples frustrations with getting superman punched is cause they don’t play stasis Titan, it’s a different world man. But more importantly tbh people seem to be simply burntout of stasis altogether after only a few months.
It ain’t fun being unable to move and die. And it’s even less fun being ABLE to move and getting yeeted by an ice punch all the same.
TL;DR. Stasis is broke man.

1 ReplyThe 90% boost to armor is way too much. Once that is corrected, then we shall see. The average boost to armor is 50%... So it has to be a bug.

Titan is my least used class and have used stasis on it in PvP only a handful of times. I really can’t give too much feedback, but I do think that the initial freeze when activating the super could be toned down.

The Titan super is the easiest to get multikills my man. Also the duration is whack with the way how maps are too small and random respawns. With Striker nowdays I can maybe get 2 kills on the same person cross map but on Behemoth it can be an easy 3 because of mobility. For me really the whole design of Behemoth is just bad. A straight up better Striker in nearly every way except healing.

I just read the last line. Yes, yes it is.

4 RepliesMake behomoth as useless at they made nova warp, it's only fair.
But guess what guys n gals? that’s because as a Titan with stasis super there is far much more room for error
Being totally honest with you. We are playing a casual arcade shooter. Nothing, not a single gun or ability is hard to use. Behemoth is not an exception.

Love titan. Probably my favorite character and I love the movement capabilities stasis brings. However, Behemoth frankly needs a slight nerf. It either needs to to have less resilience when your in it, or it needs to last a little bit less. Or both. I just hope that it isn't nerfed to the ground.

Edited by livin like larry: 1/26/2021 5:52:12 PMIt’s not balanced as a whole, just like stasis in general. It’s getting nerfed.

It's already next, you don't have to harp on.

Yeah stasis is broke and it’s frustrating but that tends to be for PvP specifically it seems.(I didn’t buy BL so idk how it is in PvE) I’m very surprised how few want Silence and Squall tuned? It is more dangerous and larger than nova bomb and leaves behind a tornado that(while it is easy to run from) literally pushes all enemies around for you. It’s slightly excessive. Not sure how they could tone it down and to be honest I don’t think Bungie will. It is more likely they’ll begin sunsetting and reworking Light based supers(which may keep all types of supers as an option) in order to compete with stasis.

4 RepliesBehemoth Titans will be hit with a nerf, it's almost certain. If not I'll be surprised. I've come around to the idea that the movement system for it shouldn't change. Even if I hate the slide distance. The only thing I can now see changing is the damage reduction to incoming damage with Glacial Quake. I will say as a Warlock main it's not quite a consistent experience. At least on PS4. A common thing that'll happen is, as a Winter's Wrath, when your projectiles should have hit - nope - apparently it just barely wiffed. That is frustrating. Otherwise the super is fine.

I dont like using stasis. Throwing hammers is way more fun.
-
2 RepliesI agree completely. Another complaint I’d like to say, how come I get one shot by a shotgun when I’m about to hit someone with my shiver strike even though you’re supposed to take 40% less damage?
-
Oh boy...

5 RepliesLol I played titan recently the super is rediculous. Just sometimes it doesn't work. I wish they'd nerf it and fix the weird flying through people problems.
-
I feel like I get more kills in super from every other than I do in stasis. It’s a lot of flying around and missing plus everyone just runs away as soon as they hear it.
-
When it works it's god. When it feels like slipping around it's annoying. Pretty much the super in a nutshell.

Boring and doesn't come close to sunfire and nearly unlimited grenades
