Expand Limit of 1 Exotic Cypher
I didn’t realize that there was a limit of 1 cypher per customer until this past week. At first, players could only obtain 1 cypher per account via one of the rank up packages from the season pass until this week we had the mission on Mars as a tribute to the late Matt Helsom (a senior artist and video game animator who worked for Vicarious Visions). After completing the mission Ana Bray gifts you a second exotic cypher but the catch is that you can only carry one at a time.
I tried to get around this by dropping over to the Tower and placing my original cypher into my vault then returned to Mars to give it another go. However, that “scientist” Ana Bray (show me the degree Ana, or really just any credentials at all.. what are you hiding? 🤔) well, she still recognized my possession of the original cypher. Look, I don’t want to waste my cypher on Xur and I have all of the “Rahool Exotics” so basically I have to forgo the reward which I don’t really mind, I mean how could I? The mission’s goal was to honor a good man, not give us all sweet, sweet loot.
I just ask that for next time, please consider allowing Guardians to hold something like 2-3 cyphers at a time. If some of the other players are like me then you probably would prefer to save these extremely rare items and because of this, you might lose out on some future rewards.(Not ideal.)

Should have left the cypher in the season pass. You can still grab things from the previous season pass if you haven't grabbed them yet. Only 1 season back though can you grab things. This is a great tool for min maxing characters to make the power grind a little easier.

That happened to me too. I have nothing to use the Cypher on as the only exotics I'm missing are RNG Exotics on Raids and I refuse to grind them anymore. None of my friends play destiny anymore, I'm not doing LFG just to hope RNG blesses me and I'm on my 4th Clan since D2 dropped that died because of Boredom. The Cypher should be usable on ALL exotics and also for getting Exotic Catalysts too. They are basically rarer than almost any exotic.

It's description tells you that you can only hold one at a time. As you say you have all of rahool's exotics and don't want to spend it with xur then there is no point in holding 2 or more let alone 1.

5 RepliesI'm sure this is intentional. Probably to slow players down from having too many. I mean, some things can hold qty 9999. So making it just one is probably their plan.
