It's 2020 I still can't access the Vault from Orbit or pickup bounties from orbit.
Yet Eververse is right there and available to be accessed. Funny they removed the bounties from Eververse because otherwise they wouldn't have an excuse not to add a bounty board to orbit.

I just came back on to see whats cracking and get "blastoed" by 210 notifications god what have I done?
But about the apps, yeah they exist and are cool. But having to rely on third parties to do something that is a relatively simple task in a video game in 2020 is kinda pathetic honestly. Since the apps exist I can understand why Bungie doesn't want to put development time into adding the vault from orbit, but why not bounties?
The apps are also unable to pickup bounties for you.
We got Eververse before Bounties or Vault in orbit, and Eververse used to have bounties that if they were still around you would still be able to pick them up from orbit.
The tower is a social space that you should visit often, however the only times you should really visit the tower is when you need to progress quests or pickup vendor specific things like Ada's frames. Having the constant cycle of picking up bounties from each vendor while they spout off the exact same lines over and over is not that compelling or interesting and makes the tower an annoying place to be.

Missions, the store, all character customization and weapon options, mods, etc. It's super functional, easy to understand, and you can even customize the ship interior with the colors you want. Destiny can do something similar, and that would alleviate the need to go to the Tower constantly.

Visiting the tower space often is normal in these types of games. Waiting 3-5 minutes every single time you need to go isn't normal in 2020. Bungie has a massive disconnect between themselves and how much more advanced the rest of the world has gotten since the Halo days.

A Non Bungie Employee, Teabag Specialist... I try to answer the questions that Bungie just doesn't want to or just thinks is a waste of time, lets look at your question. Vault or Post Master from orbit? That's a good question, now lets take a look at it, at Bungie, your vault really means nothing, example look at Destiny 1, Post Master means nothing which is why you don't get told it's been full until you get to the tower, however Eververse, your Friendly Neighborhood Vendor, is accessible from Orbit, and Silver can be bought from this location, thanks for your comment, enjoy. (said with a smile and thumps up) [insert Bungie company line]

Been saying this for a very long time. Phone apps are great but we shouldn't rely on them so much. The fact we have to rely on these apps to have a smooth game experience suggest poor design.

Their priority was making sure we could access eververse from the menu screen.

6 RepliesDownload Ishtar commander you can access your vault transfer anything you want from your vault to any character transfer between characters all from the app you can do it in the middle of a raid you can do it in the middle of a crucible match if you want you can do it wherever you’re at in the game Ishtar commander download it and quit your -blam!-.

Accessing vault from orbit should def be a thing. I understand not being able to do it on a destination, there is already a lot of info to load in combat zones. Honestly, at this point, going to the tower is a chore and takes away from enjoying the game. Sometimes I only have a half hour or hour to play, but need to stop at the tower first which kinda ruins that experience.

This would sort out going to the tower after an hours playing... to delete crap,, am finding I spend more time running around the tower deleting engrams and armour and the like.. I want to play at least 3 hours getting stuff done to be told postmaster full... Bungie please stop giving me 5 pieces of crap after nearly every pvp match or strike.. seriously wanna quit this shit

The shop is "so important", that they stuck the stupid thing in our directory instead of things like our vault or the postmaster that are actually useful 🤦
