Cheaters are a problem. A major one. What would it take to get some anticheat? As of right now, the reporting option doesn’t seem to be enough.
I’m not trying to attack bungie here, but pvp would do much better if there was anti cheat.
if that’s not possible, i would like to know why, and what can be done to make that happen in the future. I really believe decent anti cheat is needed, especially if trials is to be “cooked.”

also, inb4 pvp sucks, bungie sucks, etc.
1 ReplyPvP needs to be removed from every Looter Shooter and be PvE only like Borderlands, Diablo 3, Warframe etc. if people want PvP, they can go play something else like CoD or Apex etc.
-
1 Replyits true we need anti cheat.....but anyway first and last destiny game i buy have deletet it now that shit
-
2 RepliesOnly on PC 😏

4 RepliesEdited by BIRB: 4/19/2020 12:51:22 PMIt’s astounding how broken the game is right now. Either you’re cheated by the players or you’re cheated by the shitty connections which boots you off. It’s literally unplayable in every sense of that word. Bungie said they didn’t want to deliver trials half-baked, quite frankly I’m not even sure they found the kitchen yet.

1 ReplyD2 in PC is so broken to a level where a hacker confidently flexes his middle finger in Bungie's face. Watching A Destiny Hacker LIVE On Twitch! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZia-FW1dgE

2 RepliesEdited by HATDOGGYDOG: 4/19/2020 7:50:59 PMThe cheaters just need to make a cheat that gives people free bright dust and silver. Then bungie might actually get an anti-cheat 😂
-
On PC this is the worst.... 1.) Bungie is failing to stop cheating (especially on the PC) 2.) Bungie continues to have ZERO paywall to slow it down. 3.) Bungie forbids you from even talking about the folks that are cheating
-
7 RepliesYou can actually blame this on Steam. With players constantly changing names, I imagine that also makes it a bit harder to find people as well
-
9 RepliesPlay console, you aren't quite so PC master race anymore. Always going on about console dragging you down well look who's laughing now, was originally on console anyway so just delete PC for the greater good. Tongue firmly in cheek.
-
Bungie dont have Anti Cheat not yet and not in the future !
-
Or you can play on PS4 or Xbox One
-
Nobody is cheating on console and ddosing is rare.
-
D2 PvP, where cheaters are welcome...

1 ReplyEdited by Sarah Rose: 4/20/2020 9:48:00 AMWe almost fell at Twilight Gap. Luckily, Ana found an anti-cheat system lying around to stop all those darn Captains from teleporting every half second.

1 ReplyBungie: we hear you. We are looking at updating our anti cheat from excel 97 to excel 2003. Just making sure it’s free before we update it. Still can’t afford to hire someone to look through the list of names. But we are hiring in Eververse if anyone is interested and has got good colouring in skills.

There’s too many now so I’m kinda finding it hard to believe that bungie will ever keep these people out and make pvp fair. Let’s just say they actually manage to stop all the cheaters then they will still have to try and deal with recoveries and cronusmax users plus the advantage a scuf controller gives you is insane as it takes out all deadzones on your controller which makes a massive advantage on anyone who plays with a standard controller. Bungies left this too late to sort out and will never win.

1 ReplyFirst: Dedicated servers.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 4/19/2020 3:19:48 PMThe release of D2 on PC & the advent of F2P is the worst thing that’s happened to Destiny2 (aside from the obvious one) Bungie just cannot get a grip on the hackers, cheats, manipulation of code etc PvP could be on the (Valve) VAC system, high end dedicated (monitored) servers & a ‘standalone dlc’ system (for balancing) ....financed by a subscription service (£8/$10 p/month seems fair)

Games on pc, especially f2p games on pc are full of cheats. This is a known thing. You can't choose to play on pc then moan about cheats. It'd be like me moaning about 30fps on ps4. If you don't want cheats, don't play on pc. It's as simple as that. To anyone about to say ChEaTs StIlL eXiSt oN cOnSoLe, in my thousands of hours in this game I've not encountered a single one.

2 RepliesSomething needs to happen. It’s to the point where you don’t know if the people you’re facing are just real good or using aim bots. Watching some of the newer hack vids, it’s not crazy stuff like flying around or shooting through walls, it’s just subtle super fast snipes, all crits, no drop off, ghost outlines of enemies and stuff. Things that could make a bad player decent and a decent player good. And it’s all stuff that you could never say for sure.

Most knew cheating was going to be a problem when trials returned, and most knew this company wasn't going to be a le to handle it. This is how things will be for a long time that it most likely will never change for the better. The f2b was a huge invite.

Edited by Lyrro: 4/19/2020 10:27:34 PMBeing honest, I'm not even entirely positive Bungie has any sort of security team. Bungie's anti cheat measures seem limited exclusively to the ban hammer, which only seems to see the light of day when one of the unpaid interns finds a few minutes between running cups of coffee and picking up laundry from the cleaners. As far as I can tell there's almost no anti-cheat measures in place at all to the point that the cheaters feel so confident in Bungie's lack of security that they'll even post videos on Youtube of themselves cheating while bragging about the fact that they're cheating. If you report a cheater, it can take months to years (as a certain clay character showed) to see a ban. If you name a cheater in the forums you run the risk of getting banned, and you do so with the knowledge that the cheater you named will not be. As I said, I'm not convinced that Bungie even has a security team. The lack of anti-cheats, the insanely long periods of time it takes for cheaters to get banned, and the "if we ignore it, it'll go away eventually" attitude Bungie seems to have in regards to cheating leave me to conclude that either there is no security team, the people they've hired are entirely inept, or those people were nowhere near experienced enough to handle the mess they were handed.

1 ReplyYou don’t have a pc

Oh there is an anti cheat, its absolute crap, but its there😂

5 RepliesHave to say it’s a bit frustrating. I’m rubbish at pvp and usually get hammered. I’m currently trying to get lunas, for fun. I’m finding every now and again some cheating toe rag flying about at 20% faster than everyone else and it’s almost impossible to land shots ... why do they do it?

3 RepliesAn IP ban needs to take place with cheaters in PvP games. Not a slap on the wrist 2 week bullshit. Full on you cheat then get -blam!-ed IP ban.
