Personally I’m fine with the meta being able to complete with another weapon other then just hand cannons.

I want a buff to scouts
-
Adaptives needs a nerf, but other than that, I like the TTk of heavy frames, rapid fire, and precision...
-
I like it. The only problem is hardlight, not autos.
-
The ttk is so low using hand cannon is basically impossible on console unless it’s lat word
-
3 RepliesI'm just happy to see something other than hand cannons everywhere

9 RepliesHCs are still the king of Primaries due to peek shooting however ARs finally have a place in the open field mid-range whereas before they were useless. The primary balance has never been so healthy. Now if they'd just increase the flinch ADS with Snipers then Scouts would actually have a chance as well.
-
Autos are balanced as long as they aren’t surros or hard light. We aren’t in an auto meta we’re in an exotic auto meta
-
There's a difference between "being able to compete" and being an outlier. Suros and Hard Light are outliers, which is never healthy for the game. Never has been, never will be.
-
Im fine with it. PC is still infested with Handcannon and shotties.

1 ReplyEdited by DiZ: 4/3/2020 1:12:57 PMI think Auto Rifles are fine for the most part, but the outlier known as the Adaptive archetype may need to be toned down a bit. From what I can see, people aren't really dying to or killing with a variety of ARs. It's mostly just Suros and Hardlight, and occasionally a select few Legendaries in the same archetype; most notably, the newly released Summoner. I personally can't remember being killed by any different ones since the update rolled out. All that being said, I think a good Hand Cannon player will still beat out ARs more often than not at the end of the day with extreme use of cover. But not all areas with cover, as Hardlight will just ricochet depending on the nearby surfaces/structures. And in the case of Suros, it's best to just let them quickly "blow their load"(empty their magazine) and then push afterwards while they have to reload.

Edited by Eden: 4/3/2020 4:43:51 PM600RPM Autos didn't need a TTK adjustment, they just needed to be a little bit more forgiving in regards to achieving their optimal TTK. Hard Light is especially annoying. 100 recoil direction, 100 stability (with catalyst), enough bullets in a mag to kill an entire Trials team, and double damage ricochet rounds with no range falloff. I guess it's true that I never thought I'd see the day when Hard Light would be meta, and I personally have been enjoying 720RPM Autos a lot (particularly Misfit for it's high base stability), but I just wish Bungie could balance something without over-tuning it for once.

Monte Carlo is beeeeutiful right now.
-
I miss the d1 auto rifle meta
-
-
Suros is actually a problem, and hard light should not have infinite range.
-
2 RepliesMy opinion is its, 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩 They need to tone them back a little especially surros and hardlight. Surros gas like a .42ttk when spun up.... that's disgusting people complained about Luna having a .57 was too fast... bun no one is saying shit about an extremely easy ti use auto?
-
5 RepliesMake 600’s take an extra crit or two for the optimal ttk and remove suros’ bonus damage in pvp (and only pvp) then I’m fine with it. Having two different types of weapons at the top is a lot more interesting than only one. If scouts and pulses could get the same treatment next alongside a very much needed special nerf then pvp would be in a pretty good spot.
-
I'm fine with anything. I still use what I like which is still the Black Scorpion. Kinetic is what I switch up on a regular basis. I've been working on the Suros catalyst but I've also found a very nicely rolled Dire Promise which has me liking hand cannons for now. I still need to work on the Vigilance wing catalyst as well. Specials never bothered me so I don't care about that stuff.

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 4/3/2020 7:19:42 AMPersonally I'm not even seeing the auto meta folks are talking about. My lobbies have for the most part already defaulted back to hand cannons. One retribution match yesterday had a hardlight on the opposing team, but had no trouble going against it with a spareloved.
-
I'm generally fine with the auto meta. There are a couple of outliers that make me want to bang my head against a wall but these will move along by next season.
-
I think it's great. I got so bored of the HC meta. It's not that I don't like HCs. I do.
-
Other than scouts and smgs I'd say all weapon types were in a good place last season. Yeah handcannons will always be a fan favorite, but I think they wanted a autorifle meta for the introduction of trials thinking a low skill weapon meta would push more into crucible, but as it is the metas stale. You either have teams hardscoping lanes or spamming hardlight. Personally I'm fine with autorifles I think hardlight needs adjustment and snipers should take more flinch and lower the bullet magnetism. Laying into someone and allowing them to get a headshot due to bullet drag is stupid.
-
I’m not a huge fan of it mainly because the skill floor for autos is real low for how well you can do with them. That being said, I could live with it if hardlight had damage drop off. I’d also prefer it if other weapons that compete with the same range as autos got buffed.
-
2 RepliesI love it. The only thing about it that stinks is that the 360s got zero buff and 450s hardly got anything. I wish they got more love too.
-
People with bad aim can also enjoy this meta so overall good.

Edited by Amazinite: 4/3/2020 9:27:59 AMBest meta since Warmind. All primary weapon categories (except for maybe bows, but that has the exception of the Le Monarque, and scouts have the short end of the stick, but 260 scouts are good) are now actually able to compete with one another.
