if im not good enough to get it then why am i queing against those with it? it just doesnt seem fair.

It came out about a year ago, so it’s nigh impossible to avoid it
-
13 RepliesI can answer this question. Bungie doesn't care that's why 13 million players moved on.
-
Match making is based on connection or glory score, not by what weapons are equipped....
-
2 RepliesBygones, erentil and warcliff and you're worried about a little ole nf let's not forget you're playing hunter as well. 😂
-
1 ReplyWhat is the game supposed to give people who own NF their own separate matchmaking? I’m sure that wouldn’t prolong with the already atrocious load times.
-
5 RepliesI don’t mind playing people that have pinnacle weapons. I try to learn from them if I can. I played against someone today that had the NF. He wasn’t very good, lucky for me. It turns out he cheesed it. That, I don’t get. The weapon did not make him a better player whatsoever. To each their own, I suppose.

12 RepliesEdited by Griever: 9/2/2019 9:41:57 PMMost of them aren't good either. Do you know the real reason why Luna/ NF were nerfed? For pinnacle pvp weapons there seem to be a lot of people using them that absolutely suck. Yes, if a weapon almost dominates an entire weapon category/ slot for 9 months it's probably too powerful. This wouldn't have been so much of a problem had Bungie taken action against paid recovs and carries like I'm pretty sure is against the TOS/ EULA. I mean come on, how many do you see on their own website alone? Not to mention LFG or Destiny Carries. Let me put it to you like this, a guy with KA/D of 0.59 somehow gets Luna. Either he got a very good team which is unlikely considering recovs are easier, or he paid someone to play. If a guy who can't even maintain a 0.5 KD ratio suddenly without warning consistently wins matches in comp and maintains a 3.0+ KD in each match something is wrong. No one improves that fast, no one goes from cannon fodder to pro in a day, not legitly anyway. If these pay to win services weren't a thing Luna/ NF wouldn't have been nearly as much of a problem. Edit: They could fix this another way, it's called sbmm. If the person is good enough to earn NF then at least in comp they should only play against people who in any season have at least reached Fabled 3 or Mythic. Instead it focuses on current ranks and can pit a team of comp noobs against people who are either very good and have earned what used to be a god weapon or people who have it and play as cheaply as possible to the point it's hardly any better than cheating.

6 RepliesI dunno about you, but at least 40-70% of people I face who use Not Forgotten can barely keep a .7kd Out of all the NF users I've ever fought against maybe 10 or so of them actually put up numbers and absolutely shitted on us. I am pretty sure most people you face in PvP that are using it are not even that good. You just get killed a few times, see "Not Forgotten" and proceed to flip shit.
-
1 ReplyThat's how Bungie wants it - they've repeatedly said as much - they want all the good players, to stomp the shitty players. It's not going to change. I recommend playing any other game for PvP, unless you're a glutton for punishment like I am; again, they have stated many times that the crucible is exactly how they like it.
-
Comp matches are matched based on current season glory rank. Past seasons don't factor in. Hopefully that clears it up.
-
Gun does not make the player
-
8 Repliesnot forgotten????? that's the crucible sub machine gun huh. that things not even good !!!
-
7 RepliesYou make absolute no sense. You do not have something so others should not have it either when you que against them? For real?
-
Participation is probably pretty low right now. If you’re going for anything in particular then I suggest teaming up or waiting for the new content to drop when participation jumps up.
-
5 RepliesYou sound like you got carried to 3300, then went in solo against a NF and started complaining. I’m ALSO willing to bet you don’t have a single idea of how the matchmaking actually works. Right?
-
1 ReplyWhat did you think matchmaking should just magically filter out people that have that equipped for you? 🤪😆
-
Because Bungie - for some inexplicable reason - believes that a player's skill level just vanishes when a new season starts.
-
2 RepliesBygones and a fusion, typical loadout of a whiny -blam!- on the forums..
-
5 RepliesBecause that’s the algorithm of match making. They have the good stuff, you don’t. They stomp and become egotistical elitists. You spend more time on the game farming.
-
7 RepliesUmm your glory is at 3300 so you must not suck that bad.
-
I do as well. Believe it or not a lot of those guys may have not forgotten, but that doesn't mean they are legend currently. Those guys are floating in fabled 3 from what I'm seeing. Lucky for them they have such an easy tool to use though lol. Lunas howl is nice, but it ain't nothing compared to a not forgotten. That range makes all the difference.
-
You have 3300 glory...

B/c ur gross

Edited by XguyExtra: 9/1/2019 4:49:03 PMBelieve it not you don't have to be a demi-god to get NF. Unfortunately there aren't many 150 rpm that can shoot that far, so you will have either get closer with another 150 rpm or get outside NF range. A good rolled Erentil with perks like Firmly Planted/Under Pressue and Tap the Trigger can actually take out someone from max NF and Trust range at roughly 28-30 meters very consistently, so I recommend that. If they hit you before you start charging you will die though. Pulse like Bygones, Blast Furnace and Go Figure absolutely dumpster NF once you are over 30 meter distance.

Not forgotten is seasons old now.. it does not mean that they are legend this season! It may be frustrating (I would suggest you're much better than me as well) but it is what it is! In the past there was never a top level pvp reward, and then they brought in trials! Then they binned trials! I do think the great players should get what they deserve, the problem is it does escalate the skill gap! Great players + great guns = holy -blam!-ing shit!! I'm not sure why they stopped at NF, why not have an improved recluse/mountain top/revoker/redrix* all available from legend rank as quest continuation? As mentioned, it's probably a weird balance of fairness that's meant they didn't continue! *the claymore was the original fabled weapon (rank only, no quest), and hardest of all so far, I think???
