Why is it called "Best of Year One"
These emotes, ghosts, ships, ornaments, sparrows, all sorts of things are the worst out of all of them. What happened to the legendary YMCA dance?
I want an explanation.

3 RepliesBest of D1 would’ve been a much more satisfying offering. I mean can you imagine how much people would love that? Which is exactly why Bungie won’t do it because they seem dead set against what players actually want.

They should call it "f-year-1-players engram". I worked my butt off to get most of everything from y1, take 9+ months off to come back and get the same stuff. Most of it is pointless cosmetics, but still annoying.

8 RepliesI've gotten Vex Arrival about a dozen times when all I need is Hive Arrival. It's rigged to get you to buy the engram bundles because apparently [i]THOSE[/i] year 1 engrams have duplicate protection and not the ones you earn by playing.

1 ReplyBecause "We're locking all the new stuff that we clearly put more work into behind a pay wall, and so the best solution we could find in five minutes was to fool -ahem- keep our gullible money forfeiters happy by recycling (not even reskining) old ass content [Even Iron Banner is just recycled] from the worst year of the game so that our fanboys can defend us with the same tired excuses, such as 'but you get the bright dust from the dismantles though' which will hopefully stop people from realizing they're getting more -blam!-ed over now then they were when we were with Activision!" Just doesn't roll off the tongue quite the same way. And it's a run on sentence, but that's neither here nor there.

Year one was garbage ...... why bungie couldn’t do the previous year which the gear looked a lot better. I’m still waiting on getting a good roll for the sunbreaker chest armour

Edited by iNetRunner: 8/11/2019 12:26:44 PMAll new stuff I’ve gotten from these engrams: - one or two missing transmat effects (still missing two from season 1: arc and solar effect) - one ship I didn’t already have - one or two legendary emotes from season 1 - Optimacy Suit armor set Everything else has been a duplicate. Lots and lots of duplicates. (My rough estimate is that you have 1/5 chance of getting an exotic ship/ghost/sparrow. So on average you gain 210 bright dust from each engram [legendary ship/ghost/sparrow gives 100, shaders give a total of 30].) (PS. I’m still missing 10k bright dust to purchase solar and void Solstice glows…) (Edit: Exotic ship/ghost/sparrow dismantle to 500 bright dust, of course.)
