Why is it that in Scourge I have gotten 10 Bellowing Giants, 2 Tempered Dynamo yet can’t get a Threat Level to save my life but others I run with get a Threat Level every run? Why is it in the Crown of Sorrows I’ve already gotten 3 Auto Rifles and others in my group have gotten the Shotgun every time? I understand RNG, I understand drop rates, but it seems odd that each time my group runs a Raid we get the same drops we got the last 10 times. If it’s that old Theory that you guys give certain players better RNG to make the others with bad RNG want to play more then please stop that. I’m all good with RNG as long as it’s the same for everyone across the board...

Edited by DarkUnit529: 6/30/2019 3:05:28 PMI wish you could’ve had RNG like on my first SoTP run. The first gun I got was curated Threat Level
-
I been my last 2 Cos I had 2 tarrabahs 🙄🙄 on 24 clears for sotp and still don't have anarchy
-
1 ReplyI believe in the theory that some people have better RNG. I have a friend who got 1000 Voices in his first run (after it was a guaranteed drop), the Anarchy on his second run and Tarrabah on the first run. Has all exotics. Really, feels like Bungie do bless some accounts...

23 RepliesEdited by WulfPak666: 6/28/2019 8:22:06 AMI know they heavily favor people who don't play as often. Perfect example, One member in my clan plays maybe 3 hrs a day at best, while everyone else plays around 6-8hrs a day. Sometimes he never plays at all the entire week. He always gets the raid Exotics within the first 2-5 completions. Got every EP gun the first time we killed the respective bosses. Always gets the Nightfall specific item drop. Gets every new exotic that can drop the first week of the dlc, etc... It's so friggin consistent he even think it's hilarious. Meanwhile others who've beaten Last Wish nearly 100+ times are still missing 1k and others don't even have a single piece of raid armor.

8 RepliesThey Dont. But people who don't aren't going to come on here and complain. Therefore you see more complaints
-
10 RepliesIt has been in the actual coding of the game since D1 Day 1 - If you log off and dont play for like a week, then return and you will get the good drops. Its like the entire 'zoo' of animal error codes - they were intentionally in the coding of the game from D1 Day 1 to artificially expand the time a player is engaged. Didn't you know this?

1 ReplyThe reason is so simple. Because that’s their RNG algorithm. That’s how this game rewards you. Listen, before you get anything, it’s all got a pretty even chance to drop for you. BUT!!! Once you acquire an item, that item is weighted to drop for you more than the items you don’t have. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been waiting for a specific item to drop and it never does. You get the same shit over and over again. Than, after Xur sells what you’ve been trying to get naturally, and you buy it, that item tends to finally drop for you in the Wild. Because that’s there RNG. You’re much more likely to get shit you already have. Two times, three times, etc. Dupes times twenty and then maybe you’ll get something new. I’m still missing a couple of Forsaken exotics that drop in the wild and I play every -blam!-ing day! And that’s AFTER they’ve supposedly “fixed” their RNG concerning exotics where you’re supposed to be more likelier to get a new weapon you don’t have or at least a piece of exotic armor because they drop with random rolls. It’s all BBS. BBS man. Bungie Bullshit.

The elitist neckbeards and pvp try hardest get all marinated in their butthurt over that.

5 RepliesI’m convinced that each individual is assigned their own unique RNG algorithm of sorts. Items that you are looking to get, your buds will get frequently. Items you get over and over are ones that your buds are tirelessly chasing but can’t get to drop. This is all built by design to keep people playing the content.

Keep practicing, you'll get better eventually 👍
-
I always get chest pieces and machine guns from CoS.
-
Out of 11 crown runs I've gotten like 20ish lmg's I get it from the first, second, and last cat every time almost. The third gives me the scout rifle every time.
-
If you havent given up, the algorithms are working as intended. They aren't supposed to make you happy. They are designed to keep you playing.
what are the Architects
1 ReplyIt isn't just an issue with raids, my dude. I haven't been able to get another Trust hand cannon since Gambit was first introduced. I did Reckoning during the Oryx rotation and got two Spare Rations with absolute garbage rolls and eight Outlasts. Four of them were curated. Idgaf about Outlast, I want Spare Rations. I farmed for Austringer over 80 times and not one roll was good. Every single roll but one of my Outrageous Fortunes has been garbage. RNG in this game is trash. It's by design to force you to keep playing certain things like an addict for a small chance to get something let alone for that something to have a good roll.
-
It's built into all loot pools to keep you playing.

From the new raid... 2 helmets 2 arms 2 cloaks 2 scout rifles 2 auto rifles 2 machine guns And that’s 3 runs so far 😔
-
Agreed. I ran a CoS last night and came away with 2 auto rifles and a heavy machine gun. I already have dismantled auto rifles and machine guns from my last couple of runs, and yet still have no helmet or class item. It would be nice to have a knock out system where you get something new each drop until you have all the items, and after that the duplicates can drop until you get the rolls you're after. Just my 2 cents
-
1 ReplyNow that I think of it...I've gotten 4 auto rifles from the current raid. Hmm. Have my upvote.
-
1 ReplyI keep getting tarrabah 😫 I just want the armor
-
It's like that over all activities really.. I run a raid, which is very rare. Get a class item or the worst weapon out of the bunch. The rest of my group.. all the good to decent drops. Happens every time man.
-
3 RepliesI know exactly what you mean, did a crown of sorrow and got 3 or 4 of the auto rifle. I have gotten like 6 or 7 of them in total so far. The RNG system for these things is utterly terrible. Somehow my titan actually still hasn't gotten the helmet and I have done a full run with him every week (including week 1). Missing the exotic as well but that at least makes some sense, since it only drops from one chest and I haven't done all that many runs yet (1 in the first week and 3 every week after). The system should at least ensure that if you get the same thing twice in a row, it will definitely be something else for the next 2 drops.

7 RepliesEdited by Fear of Missing Out: 6/28/2019 12:47:26 AMYou only get things you don't want/care/know about. I got Jötunn from my first powerful frame at Bergusia. Didn't even know Jötunn was in the game yet. Got Anarchy from my second Scourge completion. I didn't think it was any good, so I didn't care about it. Almost 30 Last Wish completions, and still no 1K Voices. TL;DR: If you want something, try to forget it exists.
-
1 ReplyI'm more concerned that I get two of the same item and one other in every run. It's odd.
-
bring back no land beyond
-
1 ReplyTrust me bro I'm on my 3rd curated Nobeulus from CoS raid and nothing else. All 3 curated.. 1s good enough man I want anything but that damn gun
-
6 RepliesRandom is random. Just because something has a 10% drop chance doesn’t mean you are guaranteed a drop after 10 runs. You could technically get it every time, or never get it. That’s the beauty of a random system.
