Imagine watching a gas planet ignite...
That's some crazy shindig right there.

If any sentient being were to try something that stupid, it would be the ol' humans... I can just imagine the human scientists in the far future shipping a huge planet-sized ikea bag full of oxygen to Jupiter, just to see what happens. Remember one of the most fearsome battle cries in the cosmos is a human saying "I wonder what this will do?" Closely followed by "hold my beer..."

Wouldn't be surprised. Didn't we once attempt to blow up the moon and stopped ourselves after realizing it would majorly -blam!- up the planet?

Yes and I'd like to watch it from one of Jupiter's moons.

And be immediately flash-fried from the nuclear reaction? Seems like a poor life choice to me, personally.

Edited by Solarvoidlock: 5/4/2019 10:35:18 PMJupiter's mass is too small for nuclear fusion and the moons might be far enough away to avoid being fried. Also Jupiter could just burn and not send a wall of fire into space towards its moons.
