Yes, they kinda had to do something about the Luna and NF but why not get rid of Bloom? I never understood that concept!
So think about that and make alternative hand canons viable.

22 RepliesYou idiots crying about bloom on console do understand that bloom combined with AA is the only reason you can hit anything? Idk why you think that bloom is causing you to miss shots rather than hit them. Bloom makes the game very forgiving. Look at it this way - imagine how many of your shots are off target that only actually connect because that bloom widens the area at which the bullet can fire.

Be happy you don’t have to deal with an almost purely hand cannon shotgun meta.
-
4 RepliesFixing bloom would correct the problem. NF and LH rnt even meta on pc
-
Yes. I'm quite excited to see the top 5 meta weapons remain exactly the same. And for the most 13th most popular weapon to finally get usurped.
-
By 'alternative hand cannons' do you mean Ace of Spades?
-
3 RepliesBloom isn’t a thing I have no clue what ppl are complaining about. It’s not hard to aim and hit your shots
-
2 RepliesNo put down the easy to use handcannons and use different guns

1 ReplyRemoving bloom isn't enough. Basically removing bloom will only make HCs the only primary in the game to use. Its how it plays on PC with the only exception being blast furnace/4-burst pulses because you can map some one with all headshots with those weapons by completely canceling the kick on it. Autos need a buff, 3 bursts need a buff, smgs need a stablity buff, etc.

I don't think removing bloom would open Pandora's box like people think. We wont have a d1 year 1 problem. We got thorn and last word but they are tuned differently. Most of the hand cannons can not 2 tap. If a hand cannon can 2 tap it requires a bit of work to get there. So if hand cannons were to get there scout rifle range back they won't be as dominant as they used to because they take more shots to kill. But I don't think removing bloom will have an effect on the range. It would have an effect on spammed shots though. They would be more accurate. However people would still have to aim properly. Body shot damage increases TTK. In D2 hand cannons are required to get precision shots. It's not as easy when your opponent has a good strafe game. Yes it might increase the usage of hand cannons. But then again I don't care what people use. The playing field would still be even. Hand cannons would be accurate but they would be able to be countered. That's my opinion.

If I recall correctly Weisnewski was the reason for bloom on hand cannons since D1 days, along with the other major weapon nerfs in D1, and was most likely responsible for keeping it that way in D2. It's OK though, he no longer works at Bungie. Hopefully our request will be fulfilled guardian.

4 RepliesWhat is bloom?
-
3 RepliesCan someone explain bloom to me?
-
It's probably a lot harder to fix that, than just adjusting two weapons. Which one do you think Bungie is going to choose? Yup, the low effort solution.
-
imo on console the nf and Luna should still be somewhat viable because of the archetype (precision)
-
what ever it is that makes hand cannons preform on pc is what you need for console. On pc I dont have any problems with luna or nf.
-
Yes, luna's and NF should get nerfed on the FIRE RATE and not the actual perk its self. I had to grind for about 4 or 5 days worth just to get luna's this season! I understand that many other people have aswell but this is why they should NOT nerf the perk it's self. It is a pointless nerf and it won't solve anything! It will be just a certain amount of time until another weapon is going to be over used. Then what? nerf that too? It will become a endless trend of nerfs, all i can say is stop the Luna/NF nerf!
-
Don't forget recoil, which is more of a problem than bloom on controller.
-
4 RepliesBloom is controllable if you don’t fire at that weapon’s rate of fire. I fire my ace of spades as if it shot 120 RPM to avoid bloom... although it does kick regardless, but it’s more manageable. Bloom shouldn’t really be a thing but if you read stuff about bloom on Reddit, it shows you that skilled players will have an easier time farming less skilled players. Throw that in with the fact that you’ll have to rework 110’s, 140’s, and 150’s and it’s something that would require a lot of work. I doubt bungie wants to spend resources on that. However, I think we deserve a D3 with no bloom. And if by any chance bungie decides to eliminate bloom for D3, I don’t wanna hear any of the crucibabies whining.

1 ReplyRemoving bloom may still not be enough. 180s are just so spammable. Heres something crazy. If my Trust would have came with a range masterwork it would have 76 for its range stat. Thats 110 territory easy and only 10 meters less than Ace! Plus youre getting pelted with explosive rounds.

5 RepliesEdited by Oinkthebaconking: 4/29/2019 6:50:36 PMStop repeating talking points as if you had any idea what you're talking about. Bloom isn't an issue. If you're missing shots it's probably lag. Btw, LH and NF deserve the nerf and you people need to get over it. It's been making QP unendurable for months now when combined with lack of sbmm. Bring back sbmm, and then have all the op guns you want. You'll be digging your own grave by placing yourself in a higher bracket than you can handle.

Do both. The TTK is still incredibly fast on these two weapons with a great ease of use. They will have the same recoil pattern, but their TTK will be lowered by .16 or .14. They will still be more than competitive. With the Telesto, I remember people saying "If you can't still kill with it in pvp then you wen't good at pvp in the first place."
-
Unless someone can correct me on this, Bungie have not ever explained why bloom is so horrible on console. I get that with M&K it is harder to correct recoil than it is with a joystick on a controller. But the amount of bloom they do is an exaggeration in its own. The popular opinion, and my own, is that bloom should seriously be toned down on console and if they choose to not change this, please explain why. Not to sound entitled when I say this either. Whatever they do, I respect, but not being transparent about this hot topic that has been a debated issue for a long time is frustrating.

How about no?

2 RepliesI'd be more worried that AoS would take over

2 RepliesDoesn't bloom have something to do with range restraints? I seem to remember reading that somewhere.
