Out of every piece of fiction out there, video games, books, movies, comics, etc. where the author killed off a character, which would you bring back and why?
Like out of any killed off character who would you wish back and give a brief explanation as to why.
For me it'd be the 11th Doctor. He is my all time favorite fictional character, legit the only time I've felt like crying over a story. And I'm like a rock when it comes to emotions. I just loved how Matt Smith brought the character to life, such a complex set of emotions to portray. A extremely bright and sweetly sensitive side, and yet still an aspect of darkness.
But hey that's just me. I wanna hear from you guys. What characters would you revive and why?
Edit: Didn't even think about it, in a way some of your favorite characters really shouldn't/couldn't be brought back. So I guess what I'm saying is: Which characters that the authors decided to murder did you love the most?

2 RepliesPyrrha Nikos. RWBY. She was such a sweet and caring character, then she was thrown into such an ultimatum by that dick Ozpin. Become the Fall Maiden, or Vale falls. And after that, she was again basically forced to sacrifice herself. That’s -blam!-ed up. She should be brought back, it wasn’t fair. For Jaune’s sake.

1 ReplyBT-7274 from titanfall 2. We gotta have a good robot buddy that doesn’t end up dying in the end.

An obvious answer would be Cayde-6 or any legendary Guardian like Saint-14, but I would want any of the Noble Team that died on Reach back. Actually, why not all of them?

1 ReplyEdited by Eden: 2/11/2019 11:45:37 PMProbably Maes Hughes from FMA. Especially since his young daughter doesn't understand what's happening at the funeral when his casket is being lowered into the ground. Kaori Miyazono from Your Lie In April is a good pick too. Good example of how unfair fate can be sometimes. Like you mentioned though, the best tragic characters are the ones who stay dead.

Minor Life is Strange 2 part 2 spoilers (though really if you played Life is Strange 1 and expected something happy- you just don’t learn)
Mushroom from Life is Strange 2. Normally I would say no one. Because cost in stories is important, and bringing back anyone for any reason devalues the death unless it’s the whole point. We can talk at length about you fine people who sacrificed Chloe because you thought that was the good ending. You were wrong. But we can talk about it. Back to the point: Mushroom’s death was purely an emotional cheap shot that did more to remove the inconvenience of needing to explain why the grandparents would allow a dog in their house than to allow the brothers to grow, which should have been the primary concern. Full disclosure: Mushroom’s death could have been tragic and affected the brothers in a very real way. Had she died later in the story in a way connected to their journey. Her journey from introduced to killed was less than half a chapter. She shows up at the end of 1 and dies at the beginning of 2. And that is an ineffective use of a character. Bring Mushroom back so we can love her. Kill her later in a way more directly related to the actions of the brothers. This game needs some serious cost. We haven’t seen any yet. And that was my favorite part of the first one.
