I understand why some people don’t like the character but those things never really bothered me. Anyone else or is it just me?

1 ReplyI do like our ghost. Sure he can be a little annoying, but I see him as a little brother. Being the youngest in my family I never knew what it was like to have a little brother. After Nolanbot, I figured it out. They can be annoying, but lovable all the same time. When I we had the heartfelt chat in the Plaguelands after the Khvostov quest, I just couldn’t bare to think of a world without my ghost. THEN THE MOTHER-blam!-ER GHAUL SHOWED UP AND TURNED MY GHOST INTO A PARAPLEGIC!! YOU THINK YOU HAVE ANY RIGHT TO HURT MY -blam!-ING GHOST YOU COCK RIDING ASS HOLE?! -blam!- YA GHAUL!! Whew. Sorry about that. Anyhoo, I love the ghost. Especially after the Thin Line Hand cannon lore tab.

I like him as a character. What I don't like about him is that despite the things we've done, he's still worried about about us encountering a few Thrall. Sure, from a certain point of view, you could see it as character development, in that after the events of D2, he's become very worried that what happened could happen again. But still, it's annoying when he tells us to worry about Thrall when we've made Oryx and Xol go screaming back to whatever pit they came out of.

Don’t get me wrong. I like nolandroid. He’s great as the ghost. However I would really like be option to have the convergence AI from the Braytech facility, replace him. For me anyway. Or Failsafe. But mainly the convergence AI cause Stephen Fry ya know.

I love Nolanbot. I've met Nolan North twice at conventions and he was a really nice dude...seemed to actually appreciate his fans.
-
3 RepliesI like him! Buuuuut...I really really really wish Failsafe could be my Ghost
-
2 RepliesI like our ghost, just simply because the ONLY character who had more personality than ghost was Cayde. Ghost adds a bit more humor to the city as I chuckle whenever he wines. Although I REALLY REALLY miss Dinklebot, Nolan has done a good performance.
-
2 RepliesHe’s too much of a goody two shoes.
-
12 RepliesI liked Dinklebot. Our Ghost now is a frail, whiny, and afraid of everything.
-
Nah, I like Nolanbot too.

7 RepliesEdited by The Hermit IX: 12/4/2018 5:51:25 PMI wanted to slap the steel and circuits out of him when he said not to kill Uldren. Wasn’t happy with the poor attempt at a guilt trip and the interruption to the climax of the DLC. You always kill the bad guy.
-
Hate him. He's approaching Navi level annoying at this point.
-
I like Ghost. I don't like the fact that Ghost speaks for my character at all times. I'd like my character to speak for himself, more than a single sentence in 3 years.
-
I like having Ghost around, but I wish that he was a little more clued in about the events of D1.
-
I love Ghost, he's my best buddy and closest friend in game
-
3 RepliesI feel like if I had failsafe as my ghost I would enjoy this game a lot more than I already do.
-
1 ReplyI wold actually prefer sagira or failsafe. I’m used to ghost but he is annoying and childlike. He takes way too long to complete tasks too 🤣
-
2 RepliesI would shoot the damn thing if I could. He’s so annoying with his non-stop whining
-
Dinklebot was a better voice actor
-
2 RepliesHe's the sorriest thing I ever saw.
-
1 ReplyIf you like having a prepubescent teenager in your ear, ghost is fine. I'd rather mute it and play in silence.
-
Ghost is a beta male.
-
I would like the ghost a lot more if I could mute the damn thing.
-
He’s okay, but he is very confusing when it comes to his attitude. One second he’s compassionate and caring for something/someone, the other he’s the sassiest piece of plastic around.
-
I just wish we could customize our ghost a bit more than the shell. I was hoping we would get a randomized ghost when we were resurrected with a combo of voice, personality, and maybe a special passive perk that stuck with us throughout the game.
-
I’d rather he sound more like Nathan Drake.

IGNORANCE! I could go on and on, but the worst part is the idea of a ghost is cooler than how it is physically shown, can't remember the lore card but a conversation between Ikora and her ghost is a great example as to what the possibilities could be characterization wise. Imagine the knowledge ghost has attained being with us through raids, Siva encounters, warmind interfacing, the archives of Clovis bray on Mars, Toland's journal, the world's grave, Vex confluences, ect. Yet we just both bumble around like fools, being pushed into everything by more interesting characters who are somehow more inept than the noobie who became a gaurdian centuries after they did. We've done the impossible again and again and again yet ghost (and our characters) show none of that character development. We have countered every threat without even a single change growth wise, as if the ghost was just created and we were just revived. All of our accomplishments are wasted or ignored as even we ourselves act like it never happened beyond minor fanservice references
