I'm like 9000000% sure Bungie's algorithm is to have each team have one decent or above average player and give them both 5 thumb-less apes for the scientific reason of seeing just how much weight one man can hold on his back at a time.
Doing the Lord's work Bungo.

Said it before. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU EXPECT??????? Did you really expect that taking SBMM out of matchmaking, would put only those on your skill level on your team, and fill the others with crap players? NO, it does not work that way. Not only do you match against less skilled, you get them on your very own team. Don't like it, get on the SBMM bandwagon.

Matchmaking is essentially: identify the first person in the pool as either the best or the worst in the match according to some specific benchmark. If they are the best, then identify the worst next. Then find players that fall in the median space between them, and fill out the team. In this way, games become less about what each person does, and more about how good the best is, how bad the worst is, and how good or bad the pick-up players do. So rather than the best player using their skill to put the team ahead, they are instead force to use it to try to nullify the mistakes of the worst players on the team. Ideally, we need something that tries to put -all- the players in the same rough skill tiers, and allows both team and individual efforts to be meaningful, rather than seeing how many mistakes by the bottom of the team the top player or 2 can cover for. It would also help winning and losing seem more like a result of what you did in game, and not a coin flip.

This is exactly what happens to me 90% of the time when i play solo.

I had so many games where I was the only one out of 6 went positive in the team (even as an average player myself)

https://charlieintel.com/2017/10/17/patent-reveals-activision-uses-matchmaking-encourage-players-buy-microtransactions/ Maybe Activision forced Bungie to adopt this style of Micro transactions. The idea is simple, place one above average player in a game full of less than average players. Everyone will eventually wish they had the exact loadout as the good player, to include shaders, skins, weapons, etc. This promotes the player to go to the cash shop and try to get the exact loadout, even if it's on a subconcious level. This is more effective on games like Call of Duty since cash shop skins are more obvious. This would explain why almost every game is one sided though.

I am either on Top of the leaderboard and lose.. or bottom and lose..

Edited by ZeroTwo my beloved: 12/3/2018 10:03:29 AMAfter using my personal mathematical equation™ that takes specific components from the Pythagorean Theorem(a ² + b ² = c ² ) and Slope Intercept Form(y=mx+b) I have determined the answer has a numerical value equal to ☭.
what are “teammates” exactly?
