It’s much better than before but now every special weapon using primary ammo (what should be a primary weapon) is worthless and every primary using special (just but it in the dang special slot) is useless except for shits and giggles. I don’t think alienating half the weapons in the game is a fair price for being able to run triple shotty for fun every once in a while. Just go full D1 system and you’ll double your primary weapons in the game and also add some more real special weapons. D1 was a perfect system quit trying to find overcomplicated ways of fixing things.
