More Power Ammo was Not the Answer

Power Ammo is too prevalent in PvP. It's become not only possible, but easy and PRACTICAL to crutch heavy through the entirety of a match. This is really common on PC right now, where people come to Quickplay to SWEAT THEIR ASSES OFF. Imagine. We wanted a more intense, fast-paced Crucible. I guess I can't speak for us all, but this is NOT what I wanted. Buff primaries. Give us a reason to use a hand cannon instead of a Play of the Game. Give me primary weapons where I feel like I can be aggressive and outplay these no-skill losers with their crutch weapons because right now I have to HIDE if I don't also have power. So fun. Such a fun way to play this game. I know I'm screaming into the void right now, but god I hope you guys get it right in Forsaken. I've put too many hours into Destiny 2 for you to not fix it at this point. Your community is already up in arms about rumors that you're not changing time-to-kill for primary weapons, and you CANNOT afford to ignore that.     • I feel like I've made someone so mad that I'm responsible for at least ONE of these posts LOL XD I don't even sweat or try, it's just incredibly fun to run around with legend of acrius and tag people from super far away, kill them out of supers, and so on; and then to never run out of it lol I always do this on PC xD

      • PvE gamers: Bungie, can you fix the heavy ammo issue in PvE you said you would fix during the bata? we have been asking for that for an entire year. Bungie: Oh! you want more heavy ammo drops, okay, here you go PvP, more heavy ammo for you. PvE gamers: Umm, hmm, what part of asking to fix the heavy ammo issue in PvE did you not understand??? This is the logic that is being used by this company. It's no wonder this game is such a huge mess. PvP tiny map designs are terrible and adding more heavy ammo to a game mode that never "needed" it is just plain out stupid.

        • It was just a band-aid till they could fix the weapon slots. The ammo economy will change a ton in forsaken.

        • Yeah, they moved snipers and shotties to power ammo, to get away from so many OHKs in Crucible in D1, yet increased the amount of power ammo drops significantly in D2, so now OHKs are just as prevalent as before with the added rockets and Colony grenades flying everywhere during the course of the match. Typical Bungo backwards logic.

        • Go back under your rock, keep blabbering like this you'll get yourself committed, don't you realise the same sort of posts ruined D1, and have us the debacle we've got today. Just all agree ammo in pvp needs to go back to what it was in D1. Where every player used to go to the chest, anyone near enough would get the ammo, fuc this getting pushed off the heavy ammo crap.

          • It's easy guess what. Instead of giving 1 player a shotgun, fusion, sniper give it to all so they can make plays and counter the enemies. Also buffed primaries are needed since they nerfed them in d1. Also buff grenades, melees, supers, agility. Just like ... wait for it.. Destiny 1..

          • I agree it's an issue. Very often you see players just bouncing about the map with tractor cannon grabbing heavy ammo after heavy ammo - fun if you're the one doing it but a lot of times you're screwed by your spawn position and end up getting killed by the same player with the same tractor cannon or someone else with a sword before you can even challenge for heavy. I think heavy does have a place in PVP, just right now I agree it's too prevalent. I'd be happy with a game mode purely without heavy at all.

              • Absolutely disagree... this would be going backwards and why everyone hated D2 weapon and ammo structure... Across the team you may get it once/twice and there are plenty of good primary/secondary weapons to use currently. Having heavy available is an option for everyone and fun when you get it. The LAST thing we need is less heavy ammo !!! It would be like saying, you want to remove more fun from the game and only give people a way to pick things to death by dual primaries... And PVE has a severe lack of heavy drops STILL !!!! And ammo in general !!! I don’t know what the heck Bungie is thinking but forcing us to do heavy rounds or spend 15 minutes picking a bullet sponge to death is just boring and bad... If we have weapons and no ammo then what the heck is the point of the game.... Give us more, not less !!!!

                • Also, heavy should spawn at the exact same time. As it is, one team can get heavy and use it to kill the other team going for heavy and then take all the heavy. Having a 15 second difference is asinine, and randomly gives a big advantage to oe team while screwing over the other.

                  • Power weapons are strong, which is fine, but problem is that you can't even fight back. Fusion rifle? Can't even break the guys shield. Shotgun? Instant death.

                    • I say go back to D1 power ammo where everyone that is by it gets some and have it once or twice a game. So sick of these sweaty a-hole players that push other players out of the way to steal ammo. If I see someone standing by it waiting I leave them alone.

                          People complained they could not use their OHK weapons, simply because crucible was in a very balanced state where anybody could come out on top of an encounter. This is why things were changed. Problem is, that Bungie left out any reliable counter to the shotgun rush, except having heavy yourself. It won't be any better when Forsaken rolls around. I expect to see it much worse, for everybody except the rushers and snipers.

                        • I'm still bewildered as to how they even remotely thought increased heavy ammo was a great thing. It just facilitates camping and teamshot even more. Because if you die, you respawn back into the match at the mercy of opponents who have power ammo that you have next to no mathematically balance way of competing against in a 1v1 unless they just honestly have terrible skill at this game

                        • I think the timer before it comes back is fine in most modes (disregarding rumble.) The issue to me is how many spawns there are. There is almost always one heavy ammo spot uncontested.

                          • It's sure making things harder for teamshooters. With only normal weapons, teamshooters could kill you with no casualties, in essence forcing you to teamshoot yourself or die a lot. But with more heavy available, you can more reliably claim a kill against teamshooters, disrupting their play.

                            • They know we wanted to pull out our shotguns, fusions, and snipers more often as secondaries, so until the weapon slot changes in September arrive that was the only option.
