what is stopping you guys from doing the raids?
Time. I can't guarantee I have to time to finish all parts of the raid or finding the same people to help me complete those missing stages within the week. Plus I read up on the Leviathan raid to try understand it. Seems the same part of the raid is repeated 3 separate times. Lazy recycled programming to extend raid as far as I am concerned. It's boring enough doing the same missions over and over again in Destiny. Now it's repeated in the mission itself. Plus it seems at power level needed to do the raid, rewards aren't worth it for the time invested.

9 RepliesI would say mainly when you search for groups in the different options it’s all the elitist tags. I finally got a group together with a random clan I joined. I had never done raid and ended up leading it to a clear the first couple of weeks. After that we always get new sixth who I usually try to guide, we wipe a few times until they get it but we don’t always get the full clear. I used to be a hardcore raider in MMOs but never enjoyed elitists and the amount of elitist in the post looking for members is ridiculous. My clan could not raid this week so I was going to go through Xbox game hub LFG and man it was ridiculous. So in all it’s because of the community that most solo players don’t raid. My opinion.

Nothing is stopping me from doing them, I simply never had any intention of ever doing them. I'm neither interested in rewards, nor am I interested in the time sink. Not a fan of mechanics in a shooter. When I play a shooter, I want to shoot stuff, not jump around and make sure I'm perfectly positioned so somebody else can shoot stuff directly on cue. To each their own though.

- you have to speak and listen too much - you have to carry balls instead of shooting enemies - you have to shoot signs instead of shooting enemies - you have to speak clear and loud enough and if you miss your call - say hello to wipe - you have to speak loud enough and if you play at night your girlfriend/wife/children will be angry - you have to use 3-rd party software to get into the raid - you have to watch guides and learn too much mechanics if you don't want to waste 12 hours like it was in the world first Leviathan Raid ompletion because game doesn't tell you anything - you get raid dress which is only useful in a certain raid in a certain situations (you had no luck with heavy ammo, you occasionally killed a bullet sponge with your melee etc.) - with raid dress you lose other modifications and your exotic armor if you want those bonuses or complete set - language barrier (not for me but it is still not so comfortable to hear 5 other english speakers speaking all at the same time) - bad checkpoint design so you will never find your calus checkpoint fireteam and when you find it - enjoy your underbelly adventure with using 3-rd party software because you don't want to fill your brain with the full map of the underbelly.

The only one I really like so far has been Leviathan, but I haven't done SoS yet. Also, I just don't care to spend so much time with 1 activity right now. I doubt I'll raid again before Forsaken.

Return on investment. Nothing in the raids is worth the time of investment to do the raids. I would love to be able to schedule a time with my friends once a week to run through the content, I can't. I would also love a system where I could jump in and find a group looking to try it out, or teach someone the ropes. Again, that system doesn't exist. LFG is nonsense in that regard. It's the exact same reason strikes have become a waste of time. They take to long to run the same shit over and over again, with no real incentive to play. I like blowing shit up as much as the next guy, and I enjoy most of the strikes. But in the 20 minutes it might take to do a strike, I could do several PvP matches, I could complete a world objective. Do any number of things to farm materials, etc. But slightly different gear that may or may not appeal to me doesn't cut it. Weapons that are not really any better than what I get in the world, etc. No incentive. Give me a quest. Give me a bounty with a cool reward. Give me a goal, and I'll make time. Otherwise it's just not worth it.

Caring. Really there's nothing I want from the raid so have no desire to either waste a few hours trying to get into a guided game or the hit and miss of lfg.

They're shit.

Lack of interest.

4 Repliesjust dont want to do it

Well I did the raid once, I will not do it again because simply put, it was not fun. It felt irrelevant to story, the gear sucks as far as I am concerned and the entire thing just was never really enjoyable. So, no point in doing it again.

3 RepliesI imagine most are in the same situation I’m in. I do t get consistent play times and when I do I often do get the mic option due to needing to be able to talk with the wife or whatever. So it’s hard to get a consistent group of people to play with and when I do get a chance to play I don’t have 30 minutes to try to find a group. I tried for a couple hours the other night with the app and even on Xbox. It just didn’t work.

themselves. anyone can do it if they choose to. 99% of the things given are excuses and nothing more.

I did the raids in D1 a fair few times. But I really didn't enjoy the Leviathon, and that turned me against doing the raid lairs.

Nothing, find an lfg, if the party chat is ok and the raid report is mediocre, join up and get it done.
