The community isn't stupid, therefore Im not buying the whole "it shipped with a bug" thing. Bungie undoubtedly will have a huge QA department. 'Balancing' being one of the key tasks they deal with when new content is added to the mix. Reporting back to the devs if weapons feel overpowered. As this one is significantly obviously killing people much quicker than anything else. Im sure this was noted and reported...and perhaps ignored? but why? and why would Bungie acknowledge but then take so long to "fix" it?.... Well; its going to make everyone who doesnt have the DLC want it even more when they get eviscerated by this weapon in the crucible. I'm a 3.5kd player-ish and the first time I died vs it I shrugged it off as me aiming badly, 2nd time I died, then 3rd.... I was like O.K wtf is that? found out what it was and immediately felt that I was at a huge disadvantage if I don't buy the new content, then. Coincedence? not a chance, this comes under the umbrella of Supply & Demand. The longer that wep is O.P the more people are convinced they "NEED IT!!! $$$$"..... if they nerf it now. which ofcourse they could immediately, then less people will die by it and less people will feel left behind. As I mentioned earlier though; the players arent stupid. And this could backfire. I think its a needlessly risky and borderline insulting statement to say "This gun has got a bug, sorry, we'll fix it soon-ish! in the mean time enjoy!!".....
