They really are out of touch, no wonder the game's dying.

Edited by w3rdblader: 10/16/2017 1:01:12 PMDuh, because everyone knows nothing makes a looter shooter work nearly as well as a small weapon pool with static drops... Static rolls would have worked if they had 100 different versions of each weapon type, but they didn't. Funny that you ignored the other part of the article that pointed out they're happy that most everyone hit max light after a few resets.

15 RepliesI agree with him, tbh. I've read these forums the past 3 years. I watched people throw a fit they had to run the Omnigul strike 235235325 times to get the roll on Grasp of Malok they wanted. I watched people throw a fit over getting killed from across the map from a felwinters shotty with shot package and rangefinder. People on this forum hated the re-rolling aspect from posts on here, either the attempt to get the perfect roll or being killed by the perfect roll in crucible. Now, all of a sudden, we all miss re-rolling guns and hate static rolls?
-
And I agree with Luke (holy sh^t, I just said that), Random rolls are what partically lead to the unbalance of pvp in D1. They just need to buff other guns to give pvp more variety with load outs. Just because you play the game more, or grind if you will, should not give you an advantage in other activities. Random rolls make gun balancing practically impossible.

5 RepliesEdited by Frankie Yamz: 10/16/2017 11:58:40 AMstatic rolls keep the meta from being one gun. i enjoy static rolls

1 Replystatic rolls are fine , but they unmasked that there are only a handful of items in destiny compared to looting games

2 RepliesAs a person who played since Destiny Closed Beta, here is my honest opinion. They are EXTREMELY out of touch. Wonder why you see multiple last hopes, MIDAs, The Hero's Burden, and so on? They all have the same guaranteed rolls which means you defined your meta for the game in less then 1 month post game release. Be that as it may D1 Meta wasn't perfect (far from it), at least you knew no one could get the same rolled weapon unless sold at a vendor. Other than that you were farming the cram out of strikes, pvp, and such until you obtained your god roll or your ideal load-out to your play-style. Due to this locked static rolls, you can check via destinytracker on the most used weapons and kill count with said weapon. As of now overall (for people who care about stats), MIDA has 14% of all kills PvP wise and 22% Trials wise which is very sad for a game to be the successor to D1. In D1, you knew what you want, were you willing to put forth the time? (Rant section of the comment) Only reason you see me online is because of Iron Banner but even that is a joke. The game (aka gaming market and audience) have changed and Bungie failed to see that yet again. Despite the reviews everyone gave it, real fans of the game will see through the lies. The depth aka "end game" isn't there. I can see if you want to focus on casuals since they bring in revenue but failing to strike a balance between your loyal players and casuals hurts this game in the end. With no point of doing the raid for light gain and trails since all weapons have a static roll fixed (compared to D1), is there a real point of playing anymore? For racing fans: NFS Payback, GT Sport and The Crew 2 is right around the corner. Shooters: Battlegrounds, Overwatch (still), WW2 COD, and ect is there. Hell even WarFrame with the new expansion they just added on PC. Point to make there is this: this game have already became boring within the first 3 months unlike D1, there's other games that are coming out challenging this game wholeheartedly. Unless Bungie wakes up and see what everyone is talking about, I will not foresee a Destiny 3 after this game. (End of Rant Section)

5 RepliesLuke smith wasn't even the right decision. RIP this game, hopefully a good game doesnt come out anytime soon.
-
2 RepliesI don't want random rolls again. I want a lot of great content to use the weapons and gear I receive.
-
1 Reply"Destiny is a collection series", thats a very deceitful comment. How much money do you need to make the game we already paid for?!
-
So puke Smith is so proud of people completing the campaign and reaching level 20? So much of an achievement. I'd like to see a stream of him opening a load of exotics; to just get the Tricksleeves and Fighting Lion then reacting like he's "happy"....Oh yeah sorry, he obviously sees finishing the campaign and reaching level cap as end game.

1 ReplyLuke smith is mentally handicapped.

This guy should be fired

9 RepliesIf it's a collection game then why is the Vault so small and disorganised?

3 RepliesEdited by WP ScorpionWind: 10/15/2017 8:06:58 PMIn what universe, the antiverse, that of no return, hell. Man there ain’t nothin right about that. It was the most stupid, redundant, lazy thing they could have done. Man like the old system was perfect. You actually had to figure things out, learn what worked for you. This system is so water down that you might as well just have given us no choice at all. I mean you get stuck with one or the other. The concept of customizing your character died long ago.

13 RepliesOnly an ignorant idiot would say something like that involving a loot based game.
-
Then he would be wrong.
-
I wouldn’t listen to a guy that chooses to always wear a hoody.
-
Luke Smith is a special snowflake isn’t he
-
Well, let's be fair here. If your goal is to reduce play time, lessen the grind, and piss of your player base, then yes, it was the right decision.
-
Lol the "right decision".
-
4 RepliesEh, i like static rolls, better for balancing, no more edge for grinding, which encourages grinding, which is stupid. I wish they'd just go back to having only 10-20 weapons total like in Halo, but no shooter will ever live up to Halo 3 sadly :(
-
2 RepliesCount me out for D3 and any DLC for this game unless there are a lot of changes made.
-
I dig it.

SoI've completed the campaign reached level 20 light level approximately 250. Not certain in that High % of level capped or not. (is it level no. or light level??)
I’m still a pretty big supporter of the change. I believe that, ultimately, the Destiny franchise is heading towards becoming a collection game..
Well I'm already bored with the collecting routine they have. There is simply not enough loot content in Destiny 2 to strive for. It's still a binary choice between A or B per tier Bungie If I'm only wanting to play one character class there should be enough loot for one class to not be A or B or an AB hybrid.
