IB Reward is an emblem! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
I was completely fooled by this so called "seasonal reward". You'd think that something which requires days of grinding to achieve would net us something good. Maybe an exotic engram...or a powerful gear reward of some sort?
Nope...you basically get crap low level duplicates and a crap emblem for all the time you've wasted. It is the biggest letdown for the time you've wasted grinding in IB. I am absolutely floored that I wasted so much time in iron banner for practically nothing!

2 RepliesAnd if we were all getting higher tier stuff, I guarantee you next week's posts would read, I'm bored I've maxed out all my characters and theres nothing to grind for, I'm done. Whilst they could've done a lot of things a lot better, people are always going to whine about something, Iron Banner for me isn't really important for levelling up, let's face it, it's too easy anyway and most people have done or nearly done most characters anyway. So you get an emblem, bet if Destiny 3 doesn't transfer emblems people will complain. My titans done a bit of IB got loads of guns and 2 armour pieces, I'm not complaining about that, maybe once we get extra dlc's iron banner will get more stuff like ships, sparrows etc. I would much rather see more constructive complaints on here given that pve needs a whole re-think. Iron Banner...whatever..

Made a post about this the other day, unless you want a specific piece of cool looking armor then everything is just trash. 294 weapons, yaaay. Reskins with bad perks, yaaay. Iron banner used to have guns you could only get from taking part, ones that were worth your time. I expected the package to be a couple of powerful engrams, maybe an exotic we haven't seen yet, maybe an exclusive cool looking, not reskinned guns. I like the emblem but the disappointment was huge, literally wasn't worth my time. Thankfully, several threads have been made about this so let's just hope and pray that bungie take notice and make the "rewards" actually rewarding next time.

I actually just like playing IB and I actually quite like the emblem so I wouldn’t call it wasting my time, maybe a ship or sparrow next time though :)

2 RepliesReward is clearly laid out. There's no confusion and there's plenty of incentive with how easy gear is too get (way too easy even if random). I will say matchmaking sucks. I played on my lock and it seemed as though it was fandoms vs fandoms but we'd constantly get pubstomped; I won 1 in 12 games. Then I played on my hunter with nothing but fandoms against full fireteams and we had clutch close matched and came out on top each time. SBMM is great when it works right.

40 RepliesWait Are you guys familiar with the concept of object permanence? There's more opportunities for Iron banner loot in d2 than there were in d1. They're just in a different form. You've got a guaranteed legendary drop every 4 wins or 10 losses. Not counting daily challenges or the faction packs awarded for completing daily challenges. D1 had the occasional chance to drop a specific portion of the loot table at the end of a match, and 5 or 6 bounties for the week.

Its not a waste of time when I'm enjoying playing, and I like the new iron wolf shader. Trying to get some cool iron banner gear sets.

I don't know what you expected... The rolls on the weapons are static, and you can rank up for packages in 3-4 games.

You are aware it is only for hitting rank 10, right? The rank packages continue to drop loot after that. The ceiling isn't rank 10, you can continue to play and rank up and hopefully get whatever you're chasing. It doesn't stop at 10.

Someone earlier said something along these lines... an emblem is just fine, it proves you were there for season one... my guess is after this you won’t be able to get the emblem again, or at least I hope you won’t and that’s what may make it special... I mean really guys, we aren’t being limited or capped on the guns and gear, it’s still rng. I got a helm, boots, cloak, auto rifle, hand cannon, side arm, and pulse... and that’s just so far, that is more in one ib than ever before for me! Granted the guns look kind of blah and boring, the auto is super nice in my opinion. And the no power level thing doesn’t really bother me. I think ib is just fine this go around, and for the prize to be an emblem that not everyone may ever have... cool.
