I for one am getting sick of the BS of being rushed through nightfalls. I miss destiny one being able to solo them if I so chose too. Hate feeling rushed all the time get enough of that everywhere else maybe hey some weeks aren’t rush rush rush.

I just quit doing nightfall all together it isn’t really fun anyways and don’t even need to run it to max out
-
D1 nightfalls sucked. D2 nightfalls are fun. Solo camping with icebreaker for no loot killed it for me
-
Nope.

I'm with you. Tried a nightfall in week one about five times. Didn't work and never went back. I hate it when people rushed through strikes in D1. This timed nightfall is like that on steroids. I loved the epic fight that was a nightfall. I loved the close calls, the ohhh crap i almost died; let me hide and then come out and try again. The awesome moment where you are the last one standing and you bring the team back from the brink. Now everything is about clock management. I can't enjoy the fight because of the clock.

1 ReplyEdited by BeerMeYouWill: 10/13/2017 9:34:04 PMIt sucks, I hate everything about D2. I clocked in 3500 hrs in D1, only 42 hrs in D2, and i'm already bored. No reason to grind at all.

Ok I may be in the minority, but unless I'm legit carrying someone I have yet to feel rushed. The only week I disliked was the hoops, but that was due to my kid brother jumping through one while we were still doing add clear.

26 RepliesThey shouldn't be easy and thank God they aren't.
-
D2 SUCKS!!!!
-
4 RepliesI actually enjoy this nightfall way more, it's faster, it's not a 30 minute crawl through the strike. *Cough D1 cough*
-
Well I got prestige done last night BARELY, me and 2 others who had never beat it finished with 19 seconds left so yeah we were cutting it a little close. The timer does not make things fun or enjoyable, I would enjoy doing NF on my other characters but not with a timer of any kind.
-
There's no reason to do Nightfall anyway.
-
You can still Solo them I thought
-
At least this week you get more time by actually killing enemies, instead of some stupid oracles you need to look up on youtube to find before you go. I still hate the timers though. They don't want to rework anything so I don't see it happening. Especially with the Rat King quest relying on time left over
-
Not really a rush if it’s easy though is it?
-
4 RepliesBecause everyone in D1 complained they were too easy. That they were just a basic strike with modifiers and a high end loot piece. Now that they made it stand out from other strikes, people are complaining again. *shrug*
-
3 RepliesI don't understand how such a thing of timed nightfall was even approved! I mean omg who decides on these decisions seriously? Lol Nf used to be fun and that feeling when you may get that exotic at the end but now? You have to rush as fast as possible and at the end you only get tokens!! LOL this new game is just sad After 3 years we still have empty planets, no npcs, no Townes, etc

1 ReplyEdited by StpME: 10/13/2017 9:38:47 PMwah wtf time trials??? no game has ever had this omfg bungie sucks, just let me cheese it with my icebreaker >>>:(((((
timer isnt a problem, add more modifiers
5 RepliesAnyone else sick of people complaining about the least problematic aspect of the game? Destiny 2 has it's issues, the Nightfall isn't one of them.
-
10 RepliesI don't like it. Not because of difficulty. It just doesn't feel fun for me.
-
4 Repliesits now about cheesing anomalies & speedrunning to boss so u can get max time encounter to kill him i agree its pathetic and cheap
-
3 RepliesThey dont want you to solo them because they want you to make 'friends'. They will ruin the game with this crap. People enjoy playing games on there own too!
-
2 RepliesNightfall.... hehehehe.... Yea... There is some serious problems with this timer thing. I guess for some end gamers it's fun running like a Chicken with your head cut off to get to the end to be able to kill the boss in time even after stacking anomalies or enemies to give you that little bit of advantage. It took 3 hours, THREE HOURS, for my friends and myself to finally get a successful run of Prestige Nightfall last night for the trophy. All over 300 Light. One run we got totally screwed by the shared start zone where the previous group had wiped out everything through the Cyclops area leaving us with no supers whatsoever and the Cyclops don't even count for time added. Yes, we did screw up on multiple runs, but runs we had perfect we needed that initial kill burst for supers to charge and the game denied it. We made it to final boss on every single run but didn't have enough time perfectly stacked until the end. Every run before that we were short a minute's worth of time needed to kill it. Final run we managed to build an extra two minutes up after literally barreling by I don't know how many shielded mobs totally ignoring them for the sake of maintaining the time we had. For my team I ran the drill route while they both stayed back killing adds to gain additional time while I would run ahead to the end to trigger boss as fast as possible. We finished it with 59 seconds on the clock and by that point once we got the trophy we all said it was worth it but never again. That timer is a buzzkill to the extreme.

Edited by Swible: 10/13/2017 9:14:45 PMNot really no. The only time I felt the pressure of the timer is when my buddy and I try and 2 man it on Tuesdays to figure out strats (only beaten it this way one time). Once we get 3 people together on Friday it's pretty easy. I don't think there has been a nightfall yet where when things get dicey, you shouldn't take a moment and group up. We always waste the most time trying to sprint through things as fast as possible and end up making mistakes which just chain reacts until we're all dead.

1 ReplyEdited by OldMike1030: 10/13/2017 6:00:58 PMI have been gaming since it was nothing more than 2 short vertical lines and a square ball bouncing between them. I've always disliked timers in missions, and with few exceptions (like disarming a bomb or something similar) I've always felt they were a cheap way to ramp the difficulty (that and the infamous "escort this stupid NPC and don't let them die" missions). That said they are what they are and I see them as a small part of the overall experience. And in the case of Destiny I can choose to skip it.

1 ReplyPeople still solo them. You must be one of those snipers that sit far back as clear the adds.
