is it just me or the exotic drops have been decreased from public events
I noticed since the last update that I didn't get any exotic engrams after farming public events for 2 hours straight! I use fireteam medallion as well. anyone else experiencingthe same thing?

Used a medallion, stacked eith a fireteam members and grinded events for 4 hours, multiple times. One exotic dropped for them, none for me.

Edited by LionO: 9/22/2017 11:29:57 PMJust bad luck. I logged in to the game right now and within 3 Heroic events I already scored an Exotic Engram in just 15 minutes without a medallion to. Sometimes you go through long stretches where you get nothing, it happens.

7 RepliesNothing changed. I had 3 within about 20 minutes of logging in last night. One from a chest, one from a high value target chest, and one from a public event chest. All on Titan.

Eh I'm fine with it. They aren't difficult and exotics should be hard to come by. I got an exotic and it turned into Vigilance Wing. I haven't even touched trials so I feel like I really didn't deserve it

I use a bright paragon for increased rewards and my clan is rank 3 so wtf? Edit: just got my first exotic in 2 days. Unfortunately it wasn't armor, just the sweet buisiness at a lower power than my currently equipped weapons

Typical bungie gaming strategy....give lots of loot at the start to get you 'addicted' then drop it to nearly nothing to keep you grinding.

For a while there i was getting a pretty good drop rate even compared to year 1 of D1 but now it's not even purples dropping for me let alone the exotics. When they do drop they're all the same gun every time anyhow.

Dropped 4 exotics today from flashpoint chests. Fireteam each using a medalion. Seems to be working okay.

For this week try public events on Titan (grab Cayde cache maps if you're going) you probably have a better chance of obtaining Exotic gears. Be wary of the chest cooldown timer thing (don't grab all of Cayde caches at once space it out with public events).

We should all throw a bit more money at the screen. That'll likely fix it...maybe.

Flashpoint has a higher chance to give you exotics, this week its titan so you need to grind out titan and you will have a higher chance at getting exotics.

I've only ever gotten two, and i've been playing and farming public events since the release night.

Got two yesterday, one from a public event doing the flashpoint milestone. Also I had no medallion active.

4 RepliesThey have been doing this all along with every release and dlc. Its an old drug dealer trick, give em the goods, get em hooked, then cut the product and keep them chasing for more.

You need to make sure you have all the buffs in place now that you can have them like clan buffs etc

Just unlucky. Remember to have a fireteam medallion active and make sure your clan is at Level 3 this week for increased engram drops.

i have not had an issue. Got 2 exotics from Titan Public Events yesterday with about 10 minutes in between them.
